Was thinking about buying this game but it has the exact same problem as the original. Cross platform play only acts as a bandaid to not having a server list
I remember my first time in a performance lobby. I got set as the most wanted and I hadn't played in that speed class in so long I had no idea which car to pick lol. I ended up getting outrun by my whole team and.... Spike striped by them.... Then wrecked.... And a cop pulled up beside me. Fun times!

Well I turn 'em off all the time and I will continue to do so if I feel like it.
It is part of the strategy: racers have no audio cues to guide them where the police is.
