To be fair, Mint and White also got locked, and on a part that didn't move. I think it was just timing thing, but yeah, it was very bad luck for Cyan and Red.
I usually cheer for Cyan too, but I went with Lime for this one.
I thought they would be an epic team. But instead it was the most frustrating thing I've watched on RUclips:)

I think the thing that made this one unenjoyable for me was that it was mostly the marble/team working against itself the whole time, no matter which color it was. Even in the first leg, you'd see that a marble could bounce higher than the rising pegs, which meant it had to work against its own elasticity in order to progress to the finish line. And then, from there, you'd have worms and rings whose movements actively worked against their own progress by either jumping clean over the gaps they were meant to fall through and/or expanding into the path of the moving walls, causing their collisions to be unavoidable and frustrating to watch. The easiest example of this to point at is the cyan-red (Hakos) pair @3:30.
I dunno, I just tend to favor races where there is fast progress and a long course to compensate.

I like to think that if one doesn't put criticisms in full, they're likely to be misunderstood. It's cautionary, supported with reasons, and gives the content creator my due diligence rather than a vague "wow i didn't like that".

This feels like one of the worst of these races, honestly. The floatyness of the middle stages meant things were 2-3 minutes of 'watching the ring pass over the opening for the fifteenth time without going in' and then having to blast apart the tangle at the end meant that there was no tension for most of the last stage - nobody could win till a certain point.
First bit of actual serious criticism I've seen on one these videos. Wow it feels strange

I quite liked this one, it gave me an extra two colours to root for, initially I would only root for rainbow as my main pick and lilac as my second pick but they ended up teaming with monochrome and yellow, so now those two colours will be my 3rd and 4th picks.
I love how Rainbow and Monochrome where on the same team from the get-go

Phew, this was a good one! I vote for lavender pretty often, but I also root against monochrome without exception. Seeing them combined into one horrifying gestalt was almost too much for me. But the end turned out ok

@@ThefifthBishopofGord No real reason, I just didn't like the way you can only see it half the time, and it seems to perform above average so it kept beating out the colors I was rooting for. It makes a good nemesis!
I picked the same trio I always do, when they're available (lavender, mint & salmon), and I was pleased to see two of those be in the final round!

At 5:48 blues team got jammed in place which had the direct timing that when it got through it would puff up, it would try and try until the box would jam it again to reset it's placement, but it kept going back in the corner, and when it did go in a good place, the box would swoop them back in the corner 😂

I‘m finding these tournaments rather fascinating if a little unfair maybe. How are we to judge who‘s the strongest color when all the legs are different disciplines? You could be kicked out before being able to show off your amazing talent at all other competitions just by virtue of being not so good (or just unlucky) in the first one.

Hey Mikan. I started watching you about 6 months ago and, I really liked the elimination marble races and team marble races. These days, you make less of them. Maybe you have less inspiration. I’d just live to see more of them pleaaaaase. You make so well marble races! This comment was just for asking and you do what you do. Thank you for all your videos.
I think it's more like Mikan has phases, sometimes he makes a lot of worm races in 2 weeks sometimes gold battles and sometimes a lot of tank races.
He's better nowadays making unique not even marble races like growing tree and the custom ones are much better, the elimination ones are kinda boring ngl.
Because he’s making higher quality videos that take more time to produce
He’s spending mode time to code unique ideas into a simulation for us to view

It feels weird to say, but I didn't really like this Mikan video. Watching Red and Cyan bounce for the entire stretch was just pathetic and I legit started hitting the "forward five seconds" button during the 4-color part because it was so unchanging. Then the ending happened and Mono got so robbed. "Why hasn't Mono won yet? There's no more Mono marbles on the stage!" The only good part of this one was the marbles and the worms, which is a real shame since it's almost always cool when Mikan uses new ideas.
I like how towards the end the two remaining greens paired up and were like, “you’re not taking us down one at a time. If one goes, we both go.”
