Wrong. It's a front mid engine. Open the hood and you'll realise how far behind the front axle the engine actually starts. Furthermore the gearbox is in the back which further improves weight distribution. The GT had a very good weight distribution and wasn't overly heavy. Great car to have.
u should say that this isnt a new record this was done at the end of 2020 but i wonder how they did it... i mean it was cold and a bit damp, wasnt it? The perfect conditions are somewhere between 15 and 20 degrees as far as i know.. and dry of course they could probabaly make a 6:40 flat if the conditions are right especially if they use modern 2024 tires

This is what the Ford Mustang GTD needs to be aiming at 6.48 on the 20.8 k lap has to be the aim. RWD FR platformed car exactly the same as the Ford this black series is it’s real competition.
This lap was done in winter with 7 degree C temp, far from ideal and clearly the track wasn't dry at all. With Cup 2R's it's not ideal - AMG really need to do redo the lap in slightly warmer conditions 15 degrees or so, and completely dry track. Easy 5-7s gain
true.. but more expensive and with 230 extra hp this car has 730 hp and the GT2 RS with "just" 700 hp is 4.8 seconds faster i wish Mercedes comes back with a newer version and newer tires in better conditions i think they can beat the old GT2 RS MR
