It's been a couple of years since I've been back there (grew up in Hamilton, live on the west coast now) and I don't remember the last time I saw so much water coming down there. I have photos where you can barely see any water. Thanks for the video.
@GarryRobertson Thanks for watching! You have incredible natural areas there on the west coast! Must be amazing. Glad I got to show you the Punchbowl at her finest.
Excellent video Mark ! Maybe your best yet. Amazing choice of music and so well edited. I have never seen the punch bowl falls like that! Congrats on 500 subs, keep going!
Amazing video. Funny thing is i am absolutely sure we saw you at the bottom hiking through to the falls as my wife and I were at the top by the cross looking down. We could tell someone was trying to film themselves hiking through.
Well done! This is the first of your videos I have seen. Well-crafted. I can appreciated how many setups and retracing of steps entailed. We visited there in April 2023, #89 (for me) of the 100 Ontario Nature Hotspots (book by Chris Earley and Tracy Read).
@garyhorst4394 Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. You are correct about the back and forth of steps. I normally end up with 3x as much footage as I use because of all the set up, walking to position, doing the walk by, then going back for the camera, lol. Did you see a lot of water over the falls when you visited? Sometimes it just drips over the edge, no flow at all. The book sounds good! I have one like it that my daughter gave to me last Father's Day.
@4167160383 You’re welcome! Thank you for watching. I have never seen so much water at the falls. During the summer, the water just drips over. The hike down to the bowl is a pretty good trail but with all water it became pretty dangerous.
It’s a great area for hiking from the Devil’s Punchbowl with access to the Bruce Trail, Dofasco 2000 trail, and Saltfleet Conservation Area. Thanks for watching! 😊🙏
@sgjazzchick1 I have to correct myself here as I’ve learned new information. There are no signs at the Punchbowl anywhere along the path to the base that tell you not to trespass BUT on the HCA website (which I’ve never looked at before) it does state that you may not go there. So, you are correct 👍🏻.
Wow! I was so worried for this guy’s safety. Thanks for all the time and effort you put in to this video. Awesome!
@msmonroe13 Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it. It makes the effort worthwhile. 😀

Thank you Hai Hai! When I saw how much water was going into the Bowl I just knew I had to get out there and film it!
I'm a new friend here from Singapore. The waterfall and the scenery so beautiful. I enjoy watching your adventure. 👍🔔😍

that's a beautiful waterfalls...very cool
@HansWalkingTours It was really incredible to see the falls this way. A little slippery with all the ice and mud but totally worth the experience.
very nice, will check it out sometime!
Thanks

Thought it was illegal to hike down there?
@sgjazzchick1 Nope. Not at the Devil’s Punchbowl.
