I always felt that this was much more Sephiroth's theme than One Winged Angel. When this first plays in Nibelheim you know that shit's about to hit the fan.
@@NailikRemakes If you ever meet Sephiroth and "One-Winged Angel" starts playing, rejoice! That's his boss-battle theme, so at least you have a chance of victory. If "Those Chosen by the Planet" starts ... well, it was nice knowing you.
The synth is not such "a strange choice in instrumentation." It adds an eerie, alien feel to the track, possibly reflecting the underlying influence of Jenova to Sephiroth's actions. Even Jenova's first appearance is accompanied by a synth-based track, "Who Are You?" It actually makes total sense.
Hello Nailik, I enjoy your remakes of such a classic soundtrack. I have actually been looking for a more modern yet closer to the original version of this particular piece for my project and thankfully came across your version. Was going to use another version but yours was exactly what I needed. I hope you don’t mind me using it. You can check out the project here: Nibelheim Flashback ruclips.net/video/UThmmdYIuvY/видео.html Appreciate you! 👍
This takes me back. 8 years old, playing this for the first time on the PlayStation....gave me chills

And you would be correct in thinking that. TCBtP is his character motif.

Mission accomplished then. :D
Mother. Together we will reclaim our world.
Those strings have an almost “Jaws” feel to them…something lurking in the darkness…this is fantastic, and one of the best remakes I’ve heard. 🙂

That's one take. But those chords always spoke to me about Seph's fragmented mental state, which is better conveyed by strings.
@@NailikRemakesBut playing those chords on a synth hints at the root of his mental state and what makes him act upon it.
