We have a very similar teaching style! I'll have two first, a kinder, and a prek next year and we'll be using almost the same curriculum, except I use Math with Confidence instead of Saxon.

Thanks for posting this! We’re homeschooling my son for 1st grade in September and this is so helpful. I notice in the picture a geography book. Can you tell me what book that is? I seem to have missed it in the video

It is 180 Days of Geography, however, I find that the Evan Moore Geography workbooks are much better! Thanks for watching!

I have a struggling reader also and All About Reading has really helped her. We go slow but she has gained so much confidence with it!

I’ve been debating getting all about reading to make sure we have a great foundation for my reluctant reader. We do have their samples and flip books. We love the good and the beautiful and he does great with it however we do have all about spelling we’re giving a go to help solidify spelling and to break up the week since he gets bored easily.
We have first language lessons for a well trained mind too. I think it’s a great companion to what you have picked. Explode the code has been awesome for us this second half of the year and we’ll definitely continue with that in addition to our other resources.

Great video! Love all the curriculum choices! You mentioned that you supplement with teachers pay teachers. It would be awesome if you did a video on all the teachers pay teachers resources you use. You have the same teaching style as me :)

Thank you for sharing. I'd love to see more into Saxon. Definitely have to check out the math reasoning. I'm planning on getting the building critical thinking too. I saw it and immediately loved it.

    Great minds think alike 😊
We are pairing the first language lessons for a well trained mind with our good and the beautiful language arts next year. Would love to see what you think of all about reading. We have the flip books and some activities but haven’t leaped into buying the actual set. We do have the all about spelling which I think is going to be so helpful to strengthen my sons spelling skills.
