For those of you who don't know, I also teach Contemporary Dance at studios every week, and next to Tap it's definitely my favorite class to teach! My emphasis in these classes is on musicality and expression, so let that be your focus!
*This is a front facing tutorial that is NOT MIRRORED. My left leg in the video (the one closest to the WALL-E) indicates your left leg, even though it is on the right side of the video. I did not flip this one when I made it. I created this video at the beginning of quarantine so I apologize that it is not flipped for you.
I hope you guys enjoy this new addition to my channel!
As always, let me know if you have song requests for this style as well! I LOVE your requests!

I know this probably doesn’t mean anything to others, but there was an ad for reeces peanut butter cups before the video started, and it said “open your eyes young potato” and I don’t know that just really spoke to me for some reason
Always remember to open your eyes young potatos.
That is absolutely one of the best things I've heard this week. That is now my new mantra.
THANK YOU JENNE!! i love this combination !!!
I’m so glad!
Beautiful !!
Yay another contemporary tutorial I can't wait to learn it!
I hope you like it! :)
Can you do a beginner contemporary combination to At Your Feet by Casting Crowns?
I love it but i wish it was longer
I'm so glad you love it! This combination was a lot of fun to make. For my contemporary classes, I typically only make short combinations that we learn for that day, unless it's something we plan to perform. But if I do another one of these I might make it a bit longer for youtube :)
why didnt you use the real lost boy song from ruth b??
I love this cover artist and loved this version of the song so I chose to use it. :)
