- Fallout 4's hardest difficulty, known as survival, is one of the more difficult ways of playing any Fallout game without mods. It adds a ton of new features, like hunger, thirst and the need to sleep - whilst also delivering a surprisingly difficult combat experience.
And Today, we'll be trying to beat the entirity of Fallout 4 with just 20 minutes to prepare my character. After the 20 minute mark, I'm no longer allowed to loot any bodies, items, weapons, ammo, armor or medication. Is it possible to beat the game this way? Lets find out.

For some reason this reminded me of a 4 hour ad i had once…why and how do they put an ad twice the length of a typical movie in front of what im pretty sure was a 20 minute video
Keep in mind - that extra 20hp he took at the beginning saved him numerous times throughout this run, especially the reactor section. Honestly, this run might’ve taken a lot longer or not even have been possible without it.

@@ragej3832 at 9:45 he chose to put a single point into Life Giver, which gave him the +20hp. It’s funny that one perk saved the run so many times cuz after he spent the point he said that it wasn’t helpful at all
I'm glad Jabo and Nerbit exist but the MittenSquad hole in my heart remains unfilled
No one can ever replace the work and vibe that MittenSquad brings. Most of us don't even try to fill the hole he's left behind - I want him to come back to content creation and fit right back into the wheel.

Fun fact about the institute ending, during the BOS fight, if you kill enough soldiers ("enough" being around 200-300 lol) they stop spawning altogether making it much easier so long as you are patient. With this in mind, you could have just hung around for a while until the synths won the war (similar to fusion cell farming in arkjet w/ danse)
In the first room of Greenetech, there is a trashcan on the ground that you can use to climb up the wall and skip 3 floors of enemies.
I'm gonna give that a look because I hate fighting through those rooms

Thanks for the video Jabo! I'm on a 7 hour flight and this is just what I needed! My co-pilot is not happy that I'm watching this video on my Steam Deck instead of pushing button and pulling levers but he had way more than 20 minutes to prepare for this flight, so he shouldn't rely on my help

Kudos to Jabo for doing this intentionally. Back when I first played Nuka World, I somehow didn't see that there was a market on the main strip, so I pretty much turned it into a survival horror game. was really trying to conserve ammo and healing items. LoL

Your challenge runs are always awesome. I love the originality of the concepts you come up with and although we don't see exactly how much time and effort goes into compiling the final videos I can appreciate the paticience, dedication and determination you put into each of them. Both you and Joov seem to have the most original challenge runs at the moment. Love it!

start off with 50,000 caps and see how much you can buy with it and from there not be able to buy anything/scavenge for the rest of the game

This is such a great idea and I would watch way more of these 20 minute preparation videos.
Maybe even have a mod that spawns the player in a random location so that you have to always change tactics.
He could have built the decontamination arc thing at a settlement to remove radiation
What I’d do is go straight for the minuteman power armor and then go straight to the sledgehammer at thicket excavations and then back to sanctuary/Carla to spam levels to try and get the highest upgrades on the sledge I can.
Probably wouldn’t be worth it because you’d have to spend the whole time mining fusion cores or else it would barely last

Excellent stuff. Not only are the challenges creative and fun, but the editing and music choice is also brilliant. Finishing off with a bit of Mass Effect really got me in the nostalgic feels.

I love Fo4 and how insane it can be!
I could 100% see myself playing "60 minute man", where that song plays on repeat for 60 minutes, and the second it stops, this challenge begins.
I would play it in tgm (god mode) to eliminate carry weight and endurance (and I guess damage) just to truly pack in as much as I could.
I'm just not as much of a gamer as Jabo I guess, but I feel like that makes it a bit more doable.
I'd like to see this concept for other games, as well as up scaled such as 1 hour to complete all DLC

I do really like the courser chip mission. Fun fact, I recently got a bit of dialogue that really made me like it. If you are a member of the railroad and do the mission, when you talk to Desdemona, she says, "Agent, I need you to explain. I have this report here, but it reads more like a fuckin comic book." and I'm not gonna lie, I legit had to stop playing the game for a moment because I was laughing too hard to continue playing. Still gonna have to give best mission to The Lost Patrol. My first playthrough, not knowing who the BOS were, I told them no I'm not joining, then I found the fused power armor site and followed it back, and came back to the police station looking for a way to give them the dogtags of their fallen soldiers and ended up joining them.
My first thought was, "Oh I'll bum rush to Diamond city and get the rockaville slugger to avoid ever needing ammo." Then you said survival. Soooo.... maybe that would work on a blitz character?
I like this challenge run. creating a character and get items you need for twenty minutes add more difficulty to it of having survival mode on make this video more challenging than already is. Great video overall looking forward to see more creative challenges on this channel. :)

You should do a dogmeat only run! With how many perks and armour options there are for him, it would give an interesting twist on companion only runs, as dogmeat is such a good boy and deserves to get his time in the spotlight for how may times ive lt him get nuked by supermutant suiciders lmao.

Kremvh's tooth in a melee oriented build with the perk that heals you in radiation means you no longer need to bother with healing items or ammo. Just get some armor

but still, the concept for this run is legit one of the most serious challenges I've seen anyone come up with, 'cuz it's genuine difficulty, rather than just restrictions that boil down to "I have to smack the deathclaw 150 times instead of 15 times" like... ok.
