The direction of electric field is +ve to -ve.....and E(electric field) tries to lay the dipole along its own direction...... I mean the direction of E and P(direction of dipole) always wants to stay at angle of 0°.......the torque is helping them to stay at their desirable angle.... .... So the torque is in clockwise direction🙂we want not to stay them to their desirable position/equilibrium position(at an angel of 0°), so we are applying a force (external force) opposite to the torque which is resulting in a anticlockwise rotation 🙂 Is this helpful to you? I'm not very strong in English!!

❓ Doubt : How Torque can be clockwise at the same time when Rotation is anticlockwise?
The direction of electric field is +ve to -ve.....and E(electric field) tries to lay the dipole along its own direction...... I mean the direction of E and P(direction of dipole) always wants to stay at angle of 0°.......the torque is helping them to stay at their desirable angle.... .... So the torque is in clockwise direction🙂we want not to stay them to their desirable position/equilibrium position(at an angel of 0°), so we are applying a force (external force) opposite to the torque which is resulting in a anticlockwise rotation 🙂
