Fr. Catoir & Fr. Henri Nouwen - "Personal Pain" - Part 2

Fr. John Catoir - former New York television talk-show host and founder of St. Jude Media Ministry, talks with Fr. Henri Nouwen on one of his programs, "Christopher Close-up." He speaks about the personal pain and loneliness we all experience as part of human life. Part 2 of this series continues the theme learning to "stand with our pain," as Mary did at the foot of the Cross of Jesus, her Son.
Fr. Nouwen is an internationally-known Catholic Theologian, author and teacher originally from Holland. He taught at Yale, Harvard, and Notre Dame. He had many opportunities throughout his life -- working with different types of people as he studied Psychology during his early years as a priest. His books, translated in more than 10 languages, include "Beyond the Mirror," in which he talks about his personal transformation after a near-death experience led him to a deeper understanding of the purpose of pain in our lives and how it can draw us closer to God.
