    I was in Thailand for holiday and we had a trip to the lychee farm. I have harvest there with the people and feed myself
    Ooh boy!!! That was my best day!!! The people didn’t speak any English but we laughed together. I used my internet ( Aldo it wasn’t working that well) still we had a great time. Such a satisfying day and it is hard working.

      Lychee is a tropical fruit, in the same family as rambutan and longan. The lychee tree is grown mainly in subtropical regions around the world and is especially popular in Vietnam.
      The lychee fruit is known for its sweet taste, which can be eaten directly or used to make wine, juice, and jelly. Litchi contains many essential nutrients, most notably vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals the center of the fruit.

    All the Asian people in my neighborhood sell them to the local Asian markets too. I always wondered why majority of Asian households has so many fruit trees. It's because they grow them and sell them. They do keep some for themselves but it's mostly to sell for profit. Smart honestly. Good way to make use of the land. Imagine if American households started growing fruits and veggies. Grocery stores would be totally different. Would be fresher fruits and veggies grown from around the city. I think that would be dope.

    Why is so expensive here in Sydney when so much is exported

    • @tony98discovery
      @tony98discovery  2 года назад

      There are quite a few lychees in Vietnam that are eligible for export to demanding markets such as Australia or Japan. So the price of lychee here will be very expensive. However, in China, litchi imported from Vietnam is very cheap.

    I love eating lychee. Southern China, such as Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces, are also very important lychee producing areas. The fruit needs to be cooled very soon before it changes color and lose its flavor. It usually served cooled at near ice temperature

    Vietnam in the recent 20 years push hard on lychee plantation,
    I can not imagining that Vietnam grow more lychee than China,
    In Vietnam, lots of natural forest and reserves land have been depleted for farm lands, the pro is push Vietnam became the high yield agriculture country. Of course , the con -- over use of fertilizers and pesticides are inavertible, acquire land from deforestation can destroy the future hope of the environment, younger generations will feel the pain in the future,
    Hope that the Vietnamese authority need to alert and balance what they are doing now,
