Apologies for my sickly voice. I recorded the audio while sick and had a stuffed nose. Also, apparently Chloe has quit the tournament due to having COVID. In her place, Raden has joined the tournament. Since I picked Chloe as one of my predictions, I am now changing that selection to IRyS.
Love the over the top names and naration. Also love all the trails music and are Aqua and suiseis titels based on the trails naming theme from the Crossbell saga?
It reminds me of early 2000s nascar races with the predictions and analysis of the talents. The Hololive tournament is like NASCAR with each group being a different series. Group A is cup series. Group B is Xfinity/busch series. And Group C is truck series.
Okayu absolutely destroyed group C today, winning every race. Suisei still strong despite not winning every race. Miko looking good, Bijou unlucky. Big surprises were Ina, Calli and Kronii.
I love these videos on the Mario Kart tournament. This is like a NASCAR championship but for my favorite Vtubers. I want Mike Joy and Darrell Waltrip to be announcers for it one day
@@DreamWorldWitch 👍 the competitiveness, skill, and luck are all so fun to watch. it's like an anime tournament, except annual and unique every single time!
I didn't think I'd find someone as excited as me for the New Year Cup, easily my favorite Hololive tournament/event of the year. My predictions are totally on point with yours too, I think my champ champ Suisei will revalidate her trophy and retire as unbeatable, she is looking strong as always. However, I honestly want Mio to win, first because she deserves it after that incident two years ago and how much she has improved, but also because I know Suisei is stubborn and will be back next year if she doesn't win this time, I'm sorry but I'm not ready for a New Year Cup without my kami-oshi. My full predictions would be: Suisei, Subaru and Okayu win their groups in the preliminaries, while the rest in Tsuyo will be Mio, Miko, Lui, Biboo, Towa, Koyori, IRyS, Matsuri and Kronii. Zako champion I'm going with Kobo too, but I've seen some ReGLOSS members play and... well, let's say they will not be in Tsuyo... Lastly, I also think Biboo will pull a Gura and will let important people out of the finals with an impressive performance. Other nice underdogs could be Koyori, Ollie, Bae or even Aki and Sora. This edition looks like it will be a memorable one, and we will find out in a matter of hours!
A part of me also still believes Suisei would probably return if she were to lose. I'm clinging to this hope, but her skills are as good as ever, so it'll be a real fight. xD That's just the kind of person she is, determined and competitive to the end! I'm looking forward for this year's underdogs. Every tournament has at least one unexpected rising star. I really hope Biboo can make it!
Spoilers, not a joke this comment will spoil who won so got second and who got third…. (I have no idea of the name of the girl in third place) Towa first place Suisei second place … I honestly don’t know the girl that got third, no clue

Ao-kun is 100% zako queen, around 5 sec of footage was enough to convince me of that.
One of my favorite. HOLOLIVE tournaments. And i love the Lore!

Maybe. Possibly. Likely. Yes.

The EN members are looking strong this year. It seems they've stepped up their practice, which is great to see!
@@DreamWorldWitch yes and the twins looking strong to provide Kobo some competition at the bottom with Ao.

can't wait for the tournament to begin!
It's personally one of the reasons why I always look forward to New Year! My favourite Hololive collab event.

Hello thanks for the new video. I realy enjoy the begginners guide of every vtuber you did.
I gotta wonder if you're planning a video dedicated to the event? It was crazy this year
It sure was. I have a lot of titles to give xD And Towa surely will have an upgrade to hers.
Pretty good analysis of the competitors. Most of what is said is true so far.
