- For Baryonyx being such a popular dinosaur there’s not many good figures of this species. It’s been a long requested species from #pnso fans and they finally delivered. The results are mixed…The sculpt and details are great. However the paint apps are lazy and lack that fine blending seen in most modern PNSO releases. So for the price those issues really hurt this figure. But if you don’t have a good bary for your #dinosaur collection this will do nicely.

I think the sculpting is top notch on PNSO’s part and is definitely ahead of other Barys on the market, but I can definitely agree that their paint apps have seen a decline. I don’t mind the color scheme personally, it actually resembles it’s official artwork for once.
If you want over the top paint schemes go collect jurrassic world mattel figures. Yall complain way too much about the color scheme on these figures when it's not that big of a deal. Earthy tones are natural and are decent for what they are. Quit whining about pnso color schemes.
@@theepicdoge8045 I think you’re misunderstanding my point, I actually really like natural color schemes. The color palette is fine, it’s just the application itself that’s seen a decline. It’s why I don’t personally collect HLG, I don’t find the colors natural or convincing. I actually dislike their new Tyrannotitan because of the color choices.
@@theepicdoge8045 We complain about PNSO Color schemes because we are paying a higher premium price for their figures. PNSO figs are like $40 or more on average. For that money, it's valid to expect your money's worth. When you pay that much for something with lackluster paint application, it definitely feels like the figure was not worth $40.
I got mine, but I feel that the painting isn't as bad as described in this review. The sculp is excellent, an improvement (skin detail is amazing) over past model and in the same quality as the recent pnso edmontosaurus release. It is true that the mouth does not close properly and that is the only disappointment I have with the figure. Pose is good and mine can stand without support. In term of paint apps, I like stronger stripes and the real figure stripe is a little too subdued. The orange paint is a little too bright at the tail section and the olive green is fine. Overall, not my fav paint apps but its not a disaster and difinately better than all the other baryonyx figure in the market.
I really liked how this bartonyx turned and honestly the paint apps really don’t bother me I think this is an amazing figure and one of my favorites from pnso

I too continue the long wait for the Mesozoic Life Spinosaurus. Though like with David's figures, I'm willing to wait for a better product, then a rushed one. Though I'm also tempted to get PNSO's, just to have one with the rounded sail.
Anyways I'm tempted to pick this one up since I like the sculpt, but I would like to have it painted up like one of my Ark Baryonyx tames.
I actually like the paint job. My only gripe with PNSO is the lack of lips on non-Spinosaurid theropods. But I am BEGGING THEM to PLEASE make some medium/small sized animals. Camptosaurus, Coelophysis, Utahraptor, even Gigantoraptor. I need something different. No more megatheropods, no more sauropods, give me something different PLEASE.
Gotta love the Invicta and Carnegie. I agree; while PNSO isn't bad, Doug Watson's Safari Ltd. proves to be tough if not impossible to beat. (Saddened that it's a victim of retirements - another bloodbath.)
the head sculpt on it with the teeth are pretty major detriments that the PNSO has better, but I can absolutely see how much more cohesive of an overall sculpt it is. With Safari's, you get what you pay for. With PNSO's, I'd argue you don't. As models, PNSO's has undoubtedly a better head sculpt and scale detail, but for what they are... I still don't think there's a definitive Baryonyx model/ toy.
PNSO's Schomimus and 2nd Spinosaurs ,Sinopliosaurus are magnificent.
But this Bary...sadly paint job is worst one of those species.
Shall we think Sino as a Bary ?🤪

You cannot look at the safari one along with the pnso one and say in good faith the safari one is better

baryonyx is so well known too science and you know if it's one thing baryonyx is most famous for it's a huge claw on each of its hands also being a British dinosaur and a spinosaurid it's not hard to see why this dinosaur has so much Fame and attention
This one makes safari's bary look like "one big pile of shit"
I'm so disappointed. This review made me cancel my order on my Bary. For such a price, that paint app needs to be as good as the others. Even in the promo the stripes were not so harsh. They look very artificial. Tyrannotitan looks so much more realistic, ironically, he has the (probably) less realistic color scheme.
