Súper útil! Llevo dos semanas adentrándome en el mundo de PBI, iba dando palos de ciego y volviéndome loca! Gracias a tus vídeos estoy ordenando todo en mi mente. Maravilloso! Gracias! (yo también soy súper fan del Cabrales ;))
Happy Friday Ruth, fantastic sharing. It really makes sense. I am currently read the book of Dax patterns. And start to taste some deeper of the DAX. Great great thanks for your sharing again. Enjoy your weekend. I am looking forward normal outdoor live. :)
Hello Ruth and thanks for the video, I didn't know about the glossary’s availability in a report. That’s fantastic! I will create the json to add it to my external tools.
Thank you for the content Ruth, Appreciate it 👍. The "other" functions I believe they're called as modifiers (filter modifiers- userelationship, crossfilter, keep filters etc. ) but then keepfilters is also modifier but also can consider as table function Also, I like the content library report, but should have been place (in video) for a special function which returns both scalar and table depending on the context - the "values ()" . Probably another DAX Friday. 😊 Happy weekend.
You said a measure always returns a value, what about the function 'VALUES'? If we write a measure, abc=VALUES(Total Sales) and put this measure in a table visual which contains 2 columns, customernames and Total Sales. It will throw an error as here that function is returning a list. How to know this??
Hi Ruth I got a question. When I use a direct query in Power BI the datamodel structure (e.g. the relationships between tables) are not created. I only get the individual tables. Whe I use import mode I get the complete datamodel including all relationships between tables. Source is Azure SQL. Is this a limitation? Thanks
Hi, probably the Direct query is only reading the meta data without foreign key references, I tried checking whether automatic detection of relationship is turned on. (But still I see it's only querying metadata and nothing else, might have to create model and set up relationships, which I am also doing the same)
Cool, always good to be back to basic details and learnt something! Didn't realize intellisense was programmed to disallow values output on table measures and vice versa. Guess intellisense is something we can't do without, otherwise troubleshooting would have been a disasterous task.

Me das dos alegrias ;)
The thing with "EARLIER". I didn't quite understand the numbers you got. How did it calculate it that way? Can anybody help?

We have been lucky in sweden with almost no restrictions! Happy Friday Danny!
@@CurbalEN That's awesome, I am here having a stage 4 lockdown in Melbourne. Enjoy my life working from home. Stay safe and take care, Ruth. :P
You too!
Thanks for sharing the knowledge Ruth ! Looks like the weather is really great over your place ! Have a great weekend ahead!! #DAXFriday
Hello Ruth and thanks for the video,
I didn't know about the glossary’s availability in a report. That’s fantastic! I will create the json to add it to my external tools.
That would be cool, thanks!
Need to update the glossary too with the new functions :)
Could be great also to add a search text visual to be able to seach into the description :)
Soo true! The file is available for download in the data gallery although I am thinking that I havent load up the latest version 🥴
Thanks Curbal, enjoy that landscape!!!!
Will do! ⛰
Mycket nyttig information Ruth. Ha det fortsatt bra i Jämtland. Sverige har snott landskapet av Norge en gång i tiden.
Ska göra o njut av helgen också!

You can either read the docs for the function or try and have DAX tell you if it works or not
Great job! Thanks a lot for your contribution.

I thought the same ( turning on automatic detection) if it is not that, then I dont know
Thank you, this made sense. Thank you so much. Question, is it possible to use table formula by themselves in excel?
Hi Ruth.. I'm not getting alerts when you produce a new video. I used to. Any ideas why?
Try this troubleshooter if you are not getting notifications:

Great 👍

Yes, drove me nuts as a beginner but appreciate it now that I know why ;)
Thanks it is helpful..
