  • Last year Lloyds launched a new credit card in the UK - Lloyds World Elite Mastercard. The highlight of this card is the unlimited Priority Pass membership that comes with it. Moreover, the card costs a lot less than similar products. Is this too good to be true? Join me in this video to find out!

Do you have lounge access and how do you get it (credit card / airline status / something else)? Share your experience so that everyone learns something new!

Often having one of those cards doesn’t guarantee an entry to No1 Lounges at Gatwick without pre-booking, which costs £6 per person. When I say “often”, it really happens every time I use Gatwick No1 Lounges with my HSBC card and £6 pre-booking. I see people being turned away there with all sorts of cards and passes without pre-booking and it happened to me as well in the past.

Is it still overcrowded when you get in? Haven't used that lounge since before Covid. They didn't require pre-booking at the time but it seemed constantly crowded.

@@LoyaltyLlamaThanks for the reply. It is busy, sure. So, is the Gatwick as a popular airport. I compare No1 Lounge with the one in Antalya International Airport which also accepts LoungeKey/Priority Pass. I don’t think they are massively different in size (at least the area where LK/PP holders are allowed to). Never have been turned away there - no matter how many people is in my or others party.
Betides, there are multiple rooms in No1 Lounge and usually there are empty tables with “reserved” signs on them while I am there. Why would not let people in and let them to decide whether they want to stay or not?
So all above brings me to conclusion that No1 Lounge just prefers to operate this way.

I was looking for a 0% apr on purchase, and I had this card pre approved at Llodys my income is £30k, I thought you need minimum 50/75K to be eligible for this card, I just took it that, I know there is a fee but still worth it

Maybe you were thinking about the similar card from Santander? Cause that one does require you to receive a certain amount of salary into your Santander account (~70k) to be eligible.

@@LoyaltyLlama my main account is HSBC They took 2 years to give me a credit card, and I got the most basic one, I had at least £500 income every week, my salary goes there, I remember looking for that card there and the criteria was £75k income or £50k on savings, that could be achievable in a few years, but hsbc has a disgusting interest on savings, I never use Lloyds that much, 2021 they give me a 12m 0% APR and when the promotion finishes I stop using, and this week that world class was available 😂 Im from Brazil, living in UK for 5y this black cards in Brazil is for the ultra rich, fees are astronomical but waivers if you have xyz on investments, I will apply for an additional card holder and share the fee with a friend, he does travel a lot so for £7,50 to have Priority Pass is a Bargain

What are the fees for guests? It's £15 for HSBC, but no idea for Lloyds :(

I'm not sure for Lloyds actually, their website just says "A fee is payable for any additional guests". But bear in mind that your supplementary card holder gets free access.

Airport lounges are constantly overcrowded in the UK, there is not enough of them. I think its not worth it to have this card if you are traveling regular.

True, it can get pretty bad at peak travel times (though not as bad as in the US). Personally I still have a good experience most of the time. Especially when there're multiple lounges to pick from.
