I was feeling so low and so burnt out today; with no motivation to go to work. This conversation really encouraged me to get up and go and meet my day with energy. Thanks for the dose of strength!

Strong episode! Agree with others that Seth's amazing strength is his ability to discern the human through the noise and I agree wholeheartedly with his message.

Seth's quote, "Hustle culture does not scale", is an interesting comment when observing traditional business environments.
Consider this: If someone wishes to create added value (significance) by accomplishing a body of work....there obviously is a necessity for "buy-in" to the nature and purpose of the work being undertaken.
It would stand to reason, the method of how money is earned, is then the focus of attention.
An employee signs an employer's contract, the entity which owns the business and the position advertised, to be fulfilled by an overhead expense: the employee. In this scenario, the purpose and objective of the work is logically going to play in greater favor of the business owner, because they have the power of decision-making to keep the business solvent. So, it can be deduced, the employee has minimal leveraging power to influence the direction and performance of the overall traditional business entity.
However, there is another earning model within the industry of direct sales, which invites and has more scope for people to pass through a vetting process, and have a greater opportunity to work as a partner within an established organisation.
The industry of direct sales includes many network distributing non -traditional business frameworks.
The leading direct sales corporation has the largest Independent Business Owner partner organisation.
This organisation, is made up of multi-thousand leadership groups, offering equal opportunity, performance pay for each registered partner who follows business building contract standards.
Leadership styles are where personal significance comes to the fore within this industry.
All partners have holistic buy-in to multiple aspects of a direct sales team.
The industry caters simultaneously to the welfare of the domestic household both financially and in other fundamental ways, where business is conducted.
Many, if not all the standards which Seth Godin refers to....can be and are upheld in this direct sales network collaborative partner engagement.
Everyone is a volunteer, working for mutual benefit, for a greater cause.
Each collaborating partner is in business to support and raise the standard of living for the next partner, in the next household.
So, yes....Seth's ideal commitment list can be effectively upheld.
It is crucial for these to be protected and supported within the appropriate business industry environment: Direct Sales.

Awesome episode. As a small business owner that has seen growth year over year for the last 7-8 years, it’s very relatable. Hard to stay on the path to keep a certain culture at work (especially in the construction world), but we have made it a priority and it has set us apart from local competitors.
Keep up the good content brother. I personally would like to see more of the business/scaling content!
