I'm sitting here, for the tenth hour in a row writing a stupid paper that I don't want to (for college), this video provided some much needed escape for me, keep up the awesome job man!
As someone who has grown up on the Mississippi River, I have to say how interesting this was for me, I just sat down and watched all of your journey down the Mighty Mississippi. I live in Fulton, IL just south of Lock and Dam 13 and am familiar with quite a bit of your journey locations. Thanks for the entertainment tonight! Keep it up guys.
This is the first episode I have watched of your show. My first reaction was you are moving a little too quickly, and that what you show us deserves a little more time. But then you did a good job lingering on the pizza restaurant. Your camera work looks rather good. And you have caught my interest enough that I want to go check out other episodes. Congratulations and thanks for giving me an enjoyable moment on the river. Hope to be seeing you around!!!
Sadly, Tom from Bombfire passed away recently. I went to college in Dubuque and always heard what a great guy he was. I'm glad you were able to meet him on your journey!
Very sad to hear that. When I saw this video the first thing I did was Google the restaurant. These are the kind of places I stop at when driving across the country.
I come here and watch as someday I would love to plan a trip like this with my boys. Its great to see that there are some truly good people still around. #bombfirepizza
Amazing In July I am going to paddle out from Sioux Falls, SD and head for the south where I will spend the winter in the back waters. Then I will sell my kayak, take a plane, train or bus to Minneapolis, have a friend put me in again at lake Itasca, and head south again.
What a wonderful stop and fabulous story for your trip! That guy seemed really cool to meet and hang out with! Wow...all those birds! What an amazing adventure (I'm sure I'll say that more)! Wouldn't want to look for a campsite in the dark ; )
Unfortunately, Bombfire Pizza is no more. Tom died a while back. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. I grew up about 4 blocks from there, my sisters still live there. The town isn't what it used to be. It's been declining since the dams and locks flooded the area now comprising Sabula lake.
i know you get asked a lot of questions in the comments. i was wondering maybe on your second channel you could make a video where we can ask all our questions and you can answer them all in one FAQ-type video? i have a lot of questions to ask and i think it would be easier to answer them all at once rather than one by one. up to you!
dude, there is a typo on video description, the third twitter address its a twtiter and looks like its the same in all other recent videos... just saying :)
@grungeface87 Did you tell your friends to watch? Tell your friends! That's how to get more views on these videos. If everyone shares this on facebook then they'll get a huge amount of extra views. *Shares*
That's too bad you didn't get any of his pizza. The top seller is called "My favorite dick." Tom has passed away now. He had the best pizzas I've ever had.
Your journey has made you and everyone you touched richer.....Bringing out the good in man kind . Thx for sharing!
This could not be a better example of Midwestern hospitality! Awesome to see!

Definitely show us more of the people you meet, etc. Those are always the best part of all your trips. Awesome vids

Wait a minute!!! I remember you Peter from your trip to Mexico! Well, congratulations on making another great show!!!
You are making a trip I absolutely wish to do someday! I just hope I'll ever have enough time...

I really wanted to go here, but apparently Tom has passed and it is now shut down? rip
I'm realizing that with this Trip.. You can not be afraid of the dark. O.O
You need more subscribers and viewers. I assume you are using social media as much as you can right?
