This was insane. The level of detail and the amount of effort you put into every little part, regardless if it’s visible or not, is incredible. It looks so ridiculously good so far, and I couldn’t be more excited to see the end result (even though I’m unimaginably jealous, that my 900 won’t look the same). Thank you for putting the amount of effort you do into your videos, it was a blast to watch!
Dude that front wheelwell, frame and driveshaft opening are so clean and rustfree.......omgosh....😍😍 Never see that up here in the midwest, and the Northern outdoors Saabs were eaten long ago.
Probably my favorite video you have ever done. It's just so satisfying seeing everything cleaned up. It looks fantastic man. The hours you put in must have been kind of insane, but it's what we do as car guys sometimes.
So much dedicated and detailed work on the 900 (much like Memphis here on YT), I can hardly keep up w/your vids! My guess (or vote?) for the 3rd color: Maybe a darker, deeper teal or forest green than the body color. 16:38 Okay, I was wrong. No matter, whenever you lift the hood to reveal the engine is going to be like opening a jewel box! This is automotive artistry.👏🏼
I've had my 9-3 Aero convertible 210bhp for just over a week, your videos have given me the confidence to attempt some repairs when and if they arise..i cannot thank you enough for that as i only found out about the various issues 9-3's have after i had purchased the car.. currently saving up for the Tech 2 and various other spares that ive seen you change on your vids just incase things go bad on my car.. i'm fairly remote, so i will have to do any repairs myself
T5 red for the cover is a perfect choice. Hopefully you will eventually enjoy the smoothness and power of a T5 upgrade. I read it is an amazing difference.
Just watched this video. It and you were amazing. Can’t believe the patience you have and the attention to detail. It turned out fantastic. Also love the red choice. Against the black and silver it really pops. Mostky follow you on Instagram but found you first on you tube. Not gonna lie I also want your play list that accompanied this video. Amazing. Tony
You might want to put a coat of clear on the valve cover. Noticing the bare aluminum on the Vig's cover is getting that white corrosion now that it gets daily driven out here in the midwest. Although in AZ you guys don't seem to have problems with humidity, lol... She is gonna look AMAZING with all that detail.
Wow that was a seriously long and I am sure tedious task. However as it is a labour of love ( my assessment) there was joy and satisfaction in the task. Enjoyed watching the determination, innovation ( in masking) creativity in colour combinations and guts to do it. Can't wait till I see the finished result. You have the best.griends who are invested in this with you. You are a fortunate man. Look forward to more exceptional videos
Massive improvement Jacob, that is going to look fantastic when its fully assembled.......also, I really enjoyed the longer video, it was a real treat 👍
Great work. I would have painted the intercooler pipe and the turbo black and sanded the text visible in metal, as you did with the valve cover. It would look cool to see the text stand out. Also I would paint the engine in silver, to easier see any potential oil leeks, but that is just me. Keep up the good work.
Everything looking mint! I know it takes a whole heck of a lot of time, but it'll be worth it in the end. Also, my transmission was just as bad with oil sludge when I refreshed mine. Had that "self lubricated chassis system" installed 😄
The sanding block you used for the valve cover is one of these spongy things, right? Bc it’s a bit too soft, you ended up over-sanding the edges - maybe a more solid block would‘ve worked out better … but still: Amazing Job! I want my 900’s engine and bay to look as clean as yours will SO bad! 😭😅
@@AutoAutopsy haven’t you seen the first test by Top Gear UK , from the first NEVS ,this was broadcasted not long ago here in Europe, it is on RUclips as well. You had in one of your video’s a content in which you badly regret, Saab is history. Saab in form of a NEVS is back yours sincerely. Ray Kuiper
Hand paint the lettering on the charge pipe black🤷 next time a angle grinder with a roloc disc makes quick clean work of jobs like your valve cover letteting.

That was a TON of work! Can't wait to see the final product when it's all reassembled and back in the engine bay. Be proud of your effort.
Thank you! I appreciate that

Thank you so much! Memphis’ videos are amazing. Took some inspiration for the work he’s done on mine!
@@AutoAutopsy Me, every time you said “it’s not perfect...": 🤦♀️
So much work, so much effort, such great results. You must and should be very proud.

DAYTONA YELLOW!! I like the block painted in Daytona yellow for a practical reason- you can spot leaks and track their source real fast.

Thanks. You are the best
Tried to find these songs on iTunes but couldn’t find them
That is going to look amazing when it is together. Definitely well-spent effort
Hope so! Thanks Thackery 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Brilliant beatiful red color for the spark cover. I'm going to do this to mine.
thanks :)
Cant wait to see all ur hard work all come together
Thank you! Me neither :)

Nice video! Little tip when masking gasket area's, use a plastic hammer and tap on the edges, you can remove the exces tape perfectly. :)
Thanks! I will have to try that if peeling doesn't work, but thankfully this tape is pretty easy to remove
Amazing video Man super detailed I'd like to see videos like this good job auto
Thanks! 👍🙌🏼

I am considering doing the text in red with a paint brush, but well see I guess

nice job!
Thanks man!
I do still have my Saab 9-5 wagon. Unfortunately the NEVS is far away from cheap . But Saab is back .
I’m not sure what you’re referring to 🤨
Good job 👍🏻
Thanks 😁
Check the cam journal plumbing and plastic connectors... while your into that cylinder head....
Kinda digging the gold
thanks!
Too nice to drive now. 😄
I’m going to be sad when it gets dirty! 🤣
You might want to look into vapor blasting the parts.
Would have loved to. It would’ve taken so much less time but so much more money
Not counting time, how much does it cost to do this vs buying a used engine?
I would rather rebuild too but I am curious

I think I was applying a bit too much pressure and wasn’t careful enough
I hope you have seen the first NEWZ which was presented . Saab is not gone

I was thinking red! maybe I should do black though...decisions
@@AutoAutopsy red or black would tie in with your scheme. Ive only ever seen them done in black so im basing my opinion off of that.
