  • In this fourteenth episode of "Understanding Laudato Si," Fr. Daniel P. Horan, OFM explores the second part of Chapter Six, which is the final chapter of the encyclical letter. The five subheadings of Chapter Six examined here include the themes of: (A) Civic and Political Love; (B) Sacramental Signs and the Celebration of Rest; (C) The Trinity and the Relationship Between Creatures; (D) Queen of All Creation; and (E) Beyond the Sun. Dear Fr. Dan Horan, OFM, Thank you so much! Having now seen your complete series on Laudato Si, I've thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and have found it to be enriching, insightful and fully accessible. I hope that more and more people spend time with this gift that you have offered here and that the language and concerns of the encyclical become part of our individual and civic conversations.
Peace and All Good, Fr Sam, OFM Cap

Thank you, Fr Dan. This is an excellent series, which I’ve only just managed to watch. I’m not sure really how I missed it first time around but it is truly inspiring. You’ve managed to break down Pope Francis’ already inspirational words into smaller, salient nuggets. Your rhythmical gift of speaking clearly to illuminate profound truths is something that many, many people will be grateful for. Thank you. I have learnt a lot and look forward to any future series that you may be involved with.

    Dear Fr Daniel,
Thank you very much for sharing with us these videos. They really enlightened us in understanding Laudato Si'. You know, in our community, every week (once a week) our Lectio Divina is spent on reflecting this Encyclical. And we found your videos are the best source of our reflection. God really sent you to us so that his call for care of creation may be articulated clearly. May God bless you and reward you for your devotion and enthusiasm in this apostolate.
One with you in the Lord's vineyard,
    Sister Stephanie C. Zamoras, OSB

Thank you for this Wonderful Series! I was introduced to it by the Laudato Si Animator's course and have used it as an inspiration for the Catholic Diocese of Wau, South Sudan's Season of Creation Tuesday Radio programme on Voice of Hope 98.65 FM
We are especially making people aware of the need to stop cutting the trees, and Thank God, the message is taking hold!

Great job of presenting Laudato Si in a way that is more user friendly. I did read the encyclical, but some sections were difficult to absorb for the average person. Looking forward to the series on Joy of Love.

Taking a Laudato Si animator course with GCCM, and used your words to review the encyclical. I was looking at the pages I had already read and listening to you. What a great help! Thank you. What are you up to these days?
