If SS is your only income then you most likely don't pay taxes out of it. A tax refund is a refund of the taxes that you overpaid the previous year. If you don't pay taxes, you wouldn't be owed anything. What would you claim kids for if you don't pay taxes?
SSI only went up for a certain group of people, anyone who works for the government, teachers, cops, and so on it went up around 300 bucks, regular ppl like me tho don't get any kind of raise in SSI or ssdi. Hope this helps@@ririgang5561
