Sanchez was actually still alive and conscious when he was pulled from the car, he survived the trip to the hospital but died shortly after arrival. I don't know the entire extent of the internal injuries, but both of his legs and lower abdomen were completely crushed in the collision.
If you watch the uncut footage from the crash you can hear him making random noises that are probably because of the extreme brain damage the crash caused him. These noises turn into gurgles as his lungs fill with blood. He could have been alive but i don't think he realized whats happening as he was probably braindead after the impact.
I’m not sure what level of consciousness we are assuming, but from a massive traumatic crush injury like that. His Spinal cord would have been decimated not to mention immense shearing forces to all his organs. He would have immediately been in spinal shock and most likely had no awareness of anything upon impact.
Such acts are considered prestigious achievements in certain criminal circles. The same goes for seducing police officers, and preferably getting police officers into trouble. In short, not considerate behavior.
