    Playing MP 5 at the moment. I can't believe how pure the strikes are and they are definitely still fairly forgiving! I went with the PX 6.0 LZ shaft, love it

    I know this video is over a year old...........but the JPX 900 Hot Metal are an incredible set of irons

    You have an extremely good composed swing

    He said the hot metal might not perform as well in the wind. I have them in the bag and love them. Won a competition in September playing in 30-40 mph winds and i was able to hit the shots i wanted against the wind. When getting fitted, the fitter wanted me to try the forged, which i did....but didn’t see the point in buying something that offers less forgiveness. Started the year with a hcp of 15.5, currently down to 11.7....mostly down to the jpx900 hot metal irons and the t7 wedges.

      Got to make the final decision yourself - or you'll always have that doubt in the back of your mind. Glad they're working out.

      Very smart move!!!...The idea should always be to make the game easier, not more difficult, because of some pre- conceived notion about which clubs are supposed to be right for your game.....I'm sure your scores did improve dramatically, because you didn't fall for the first rule of "Stuck on Stupid" in the world of golf.....Sometimes a players fate is sealed before they even step on the course....

      mizunogolfeurope I was custom fit for the JPX 900 Forged irons, 1/4 in short, 1 deg flat. The best feeling irons with a lot of forgiveness, the best of both worlds. #nothingfeelslikeamizuno

      The 900 Forged does spin less than the Hot Metal and Tour (as Dan's test demonstrates). For some players that will work out perfectly - others not. You could have the lofts weakened?

      mizunogolfeurope Swung Hot Metal irons two weeks ago at golf Galaxy. Purchased the Hot Metal at the golf show last week. Getting out tomorrow to put them to the test for the first time.

      Just purchased the JPX 900 Forged. +1/4", Std. Lie, UST Recoil 95R shaft. 4-GW. They felt phenomanal. It was between them and the Miura CB 501's. The price was the difference. They both felt great.

    I got fitted for my first ever set of irons just after the JPX900 series came out and have a mixture of Hot Metal in the longer irons and Forged in the rest, with T7 wedges. My plan is to grow into them as I improve my game.

    Where does the MP-25 sit compared to these? More forgiving than the Tour but less forgiving than the Forged?

    • @mizunogolf1906
      @mizunogolf1906  7 лет назад +1

      Forgiveness wise - similar. Ball speeds will be a little faster with the MP-25 through the construction. For some the 900 Tour feels more solid.

    I was fit for the 900 Forged. I think the fitter thought that as I'm a lower handicapper (4 handicap), that they would suit me better. But ironically the Hot Metal hit the ball higher, longer, straighter, slightly more spin and more consistency. Who cares about workability when the Hot Metals are so easy and consistent? So under Mizunos 30 day exchange policy, I changed the Forged for the Hot Metals and couldn't be happier.

    I use blade mp 69. Bit battered now. What's the next one I could consider 7 8 9 pw. Thanks

    I play the first edition EZ forged how do these compare?

    • @mizunogolf1906

      The 900 Forged will be a little smaller - but they're forgiving enough and most players prefer the feel and performance. Lower trajectory and a little faster off the face.
