    Cool video. good to see the new adjustments on the placement of the CG of the club has made a difference on spin and launch. I currently own the 2021 P770 and I think it looks better and different. Even anything else out there.
    I don't dislike the new look, just think it looks too much like the p790 and I, like many golfers like to stand out and set myself apart from other players through my irons. Golfer's ego. LOL😜

      Thanks Alain 👍 and yeah I know what you mean. The fact it has the same look as the P790, which has already been out for some time, will probably have a negative effect on sales I would imagine, people would have wanted a completely fresh new look. But as I said in my last video, I feel like they should have been out at the same time and possibly material or manufacturing issues held that up.

    Can we recheck this comparison with the new 2024 one? Please advise the shafts used?

      I will do yes but I can't get hold of the new blade until the clubs are actually released unfortunately, which I believe is Jan 20th

    There are some minor differences, but should you replace a set of clubs for 500 rpm spin increase? At +8 revs per second, with a 5 second hang time, you get about 40 extra revolutions. I dunno man…. I also think the older ones look better.

    • @ianmock2
      @ianmock2 9 месяцев назад

      500 rpm is a significant difference. More to do with the ability to stop with the extra rotational speed hitting the green. If you're playing consistently on soft greens then you're probably right and it won't make a difference, but on hard and fast greens that could be the difference between 2-3 yards of extra rollout, or 9ft extra putting distance. In other words, tucked front pins for mid irons on fast and hard greens would be inaccessible vs partially accessible with slightly more stopping power. Could be the difference between a 10ft or 20ft putt when runout is considered.

    Where's the review of old vs new p7mc? 🤔

    Personally think the old model looks nicer! Not a fan of the satin finish with the v section on the new one

    Can't wrap my head around where you are hitting (or not actually hitting) the ball on the face. Are they as thin as they look in the visualization? Other Quad users seem to hit much closer to the "expected" sweet spot, also from indoor mats.
    We all swing differently but it does stand out a bit.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  Год назад +2

      It depends where people put the dots on the head as that is where it gives the reading from. Foresight advise to put them half way up the face as it gets more accurate and consistent readings. But when you are hitting irons it makes it look like you are thinning them. So for me generally around 10mm low on the face is pretty much where you want to be hitting it. Give or take a mm or 2. But if the efficiency and ball flight is good it's generally a good strike.

    The new one looks bigger….. is the sole also thicker?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  2 года назад +1

      No I think that's just the finish. In person I honestly can't tell any different visually in the top line or sole width between the 2. They look pretty much identical to me.

    I'm a picker of the ball and I've been told I need irons with a preworn leading edge. What would be some examples of clubs with a preworn leading edge similar in size and shape to the P770?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  2 года назад

      Not many anymore I'm afraid. Miura would be one that springs to mind but apart from that not a lot. The older TM irons. But if you are a picker I don't see too much value in a preworn leading edge. If you're not getting much turf interaction then that design isn't going to be helping much. I would just start focusing on improving your angle of attack first as that will give you far better results and much better ball striking consistency along with a better flight and more distance, and then worry about what clubs suit you best 👍 if you watch my latest video I explain this and show numbers on why changing that angle of attack is so important.

      Thinner soles will help. But the P770 and P790s aren’t that big and wide of a sole. But better to get lessons and improve there

    Hi, nice video, I brought a set of 770’s earlier this year and absolutely love them. I’ve reduced my handicap significantly in the 18 months I’ve been playing. A lot of that will be all the practice and lessons I’ve been having.
    I’m guessing the increase in spin is not enough to make me want to upgrade ? What sort of stopping distance would the extra spin actually produce?
    I’m based in Swindon and have been meaning to book a session… hopefully I’ll get around to it if work is less busy next week…

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  2 года назад +2

      Hey Leigh, great to hear the game is progressing well 👍👍
      It's unlikely it would be worthwhile if I'm honest, only reason would be if you do currently spin your irons very low but we would have to take a look on quad and see. But yes it's unlikely it would be worth it.
      That extra spin would generally provide marginal extra stopping power. To most amateurs it wouldn't be massively noticeable for that purpose. Stopping power is far more land angle then spin anyway.
      Yeah thats not far at all mate so would be good to have you down 👍

    To get a better understanding of your estimated population with each club, you should be looking at +/-3 std dev…not +/-1 std dev.
    +/-1 std dev only gives you 68% of the estimated population. +/-3 std devs gives you 99.73% of an estimated population.
    You should also have a sample population of at least 30 measured samples to have statistical significance in your estimate.
