    That is exactly what I was looking for! Thank You Wolfgang. The trick with the offset sketch was very helpful to get the bends right!

    You can extrude skretch as surface model. Without saveing and converting it.

    See that convert to sheet metal icon in your upper right "convert" ribbon?

      LOL - that is something different - you can´t convert a solid like this (or similar) into sheet metal.

      Our sheet metal team have been asked if they are happy with changing to Inventor for whatever reason.. This video will help with our reasons not to change. Thanks for the video :)

      @wolfgang.walden.cad.training  Год назад

      @hsyn.mo4 Год назад

      @@wolfgang.walden.cad.training in solidworks I can rotate a part indepently by right click on part but i cant in inventor also to rotate a part I ever hold F3. is there a easy way? TX

      Ok I see, if you select a part and make a right click, there is the "free rotate" command in the drop down menu.

    sketching again the complicated solids is time consuming!!! or impossible!!

      LOL - you can´t turn every solid model into sheet-metal. This is only meant for solid-models which could be turned into sheet-metal.
