Edit: when I watched this episode, I had been struggling to face something in my life. I’d been struggling for about a year maybe a year and a half. There might be more and it might be connected to something else. But after this episode, I decided I had to face it. I had been struggling with my health / anxiety. I finally went to get checked and am on my way to identifying and knowing what’s behind all my symptoms. It’s fuckin scary but like y’all said, the sooner I face it the sooner it’s over. And maybe it doesn’t turn out how I wanted but at least ik and know how to manage it. Doctor said he’s not worried about it being my heart like I initially was worried and that’s a relief but still got labs done yesterday. And as crazy as it sounds to some. I have a pic of my grandpa that I didn’t get to know bc he passed when I was about 3-4 years old. But I have a strong connection to him for some reason. Any how, before I went to the doctor I went to my picture of him in my room. I talked to him about my worries. I asked him to give me the strength to follow through my appointment bc I damn near backed out. I was leaving and I heard in my head, “campeón, vas estar bien mijo.” Meaning “champ, you’re gonna be fine my son.” My mom told me he used to call me that when I was a baby (only time I had with him before we moved to the states). Idk if it was him for sure but at the doctors office I could feel him behind me before the doctor walked in. I could feel him putting his hand on my back comforting me. But I would’ve never went if I didn’t listen to this episode. I was walking at the park listening to this and damn near burst out in emotions bc I know it’s true. Fears only become bigger the longer we keep them at bay. And for anyone reading this far, Matthew McConaughey’s friend’s grand dad once said, “I’ve had many crisis in my life. Most of them, never happened.” Keep that in mind if y’all are going through something. 💙
