The age gap & how young she was when they started, no doubt he put her through the ringer. Shows in her eyes when you look back at pics and performances from over the years. There was a fire in her eyes that's not there anymore. On one song he called her lightning in a bottle & and on his most recent, he said he saw the innocence leave her eyes & he still mourns it's death. Young girls have no business falling in love with men too much older, the heartache is not worth the reward.
Everyone’s innocence leaves their eyes at some point. Usually child birth does that to women. It’s normal.

Still, I’ve never lost that childlike light and sweetness. No matter how much cruelty and adversity I’ve experienced, and continue to experience, I refuse to allow any of that to take away the most pure, true, beautiful part of myself. It’s most unfortunate to see Beyoncé looking so terribly miserable, hurt, and dead eyed. Somebody once said that it’s important to pass down love as much as money. I never thought of love as something to pass down, but when you think about it…it is so important to marry someone you really love and allow your children to see that love. When two people get together and it’s a healthy situation, it makes a difference.

You know a few weeks ago I watched a old interview of Beyonce as a teen, and she had so much personality and was so bubbly. I believe that their relationship started as a PR relationship but then it got serious. Years later they stayed together for their kids and business. Wouldn’t be surprised if their marriage is even an open relationship at this point.

I watched the video of Beyonce performing if I were a boy on Tyra cuz someone mentioned it and how it correlates to the cheating rumors mentioned in this video. Beyonce is the definition of “check on your strong friends” bc she was crying and smiling at the same time. They have both admitted that they had to seek marriage as well as individual counselling, which sounds like was the rescuer in their marriage. mental health and trauma are a real in our communities yet therapy is not common enough. Bravo to them for being open about needing help for their internal issues not just making the issues about their spouse.
I have never got the hype over them AS A COUPLE. They look at other people with more joy than each other. Even when I see them kiss it looks so forced. I do believe they really cared for another at one point but it just turned into an arrangement later on.

Their marriage is a business arrangement at this point period. Staying after infidelity means there’s no consequences for the spouse that stepped out. This means it will happen again and again. Beyoncé is doing what she thinks is best based on how she saw her parents deal with growing up. That’s understandable. Waiting ten years for a ring is not something any woman should settle for. She married someone like her father and that’s why her father said what he said about him. The red flags pointed out in this video are valid though.
How often do men like Jay-Z come around? He is a needle in a haystack and she knows it. They already built a legacy together as well. That’s why she’s staying. Beyoncé ain’t about to leave her man to satisfy the onlookers.
What about all the broke men/women who stay in cheating relationships? Beyoncé has bigger chart placings, higher concert totals and much more respect in the industry. This whole “it’s a business thing” feels like a convenient way to keep dragging this woman.

To me, there are no blurry lines between red flags and human tendency. I feel their relationship was a business arrangement. Firstly, Beyoncé wanted to be famous and have a successful solo career …. she knew that by getting involved with Jay z, she would have better connections in the industry. There were too many red flags in this relationship from the beginning(the age difference, the cheating, the constant scrutiny). I love Beyoncé but she should have left Jay z long time ago. I feel that she’s not happy and she’s still hurting. I think this is largely affecting her creativity.

Some red flags are simply personal problems and preferences, and some are wise warnings but it’s between them, God, and their therapist how they maneuver through situations. Marriage is so far more than love.. if it’s not any form of abuse going on, you have to remember your vow to remain through everything and make shit shake. I think their family is their last piece of regular, real life they have left and they fight for it. They’re not exempt or less enticed from bad decisions just because so many people recognize and see them.
