James, don't be so hard on yourself, you're learning how to do all this on they fly and your f'ing smashing it, so what it's not "perfect", you MADE that kitchen yourself and it's looking awesome!
Having done several renovation projects in two homes, I can tell you that what appears visible and important at first merely fades away into unnoticeable features to everyone except the author of the work and even he/she couldn’t point out the imperfections after awhile. IOW , don’t obsess. 👍🇨🇦
Looking good James . My thought would be to fiberglass that corner before you go any further ,maybe use a piece of pipe to help the curve ,then fiberclass it .
Just subscribed to your RUclips channel and watching from #1 and currently on 80 something. My partner is a retired builder here across the pond and has enjoyed watching you learn. At video 80 something you’ve done a great job! We will watch them all! Don’t keep your fingers in front of the saw! 😉
Great progress mate! Don't beat yourself up on everything being curved or perfect. There is no such thing. It looks bloody good! You're doing a superb job. Keep going bud ❤
I haven't commented for a while, James, but I have to say, you're doing a grand job 😊 Try not to be too hard on yourself. This kitchen is going to be perfect for you when it's complete 😊. Remember, as with all renovations, no one spots the odd imperfections. Good Luck 👍 x
Outrageously brilliant. There's a fine line between perfection and pragmatism. You can only decide where you want to be!! Superb work - you can never have too much storage. All you need now is access to the filter at the front bottom right of the washer or the ability to pull it out. What goes in needs to be accessible. Hiwever, your work ethic is to be admired. Carry on Up the Canal.
Monsieur James with these vlogs you are spoiling us ! Thank you for another vlog. Ps spent the last ten minutes shouting fibre glass at you ! Phew you listened !! X
coming on great. Formers are your friends. You are ambitious to get it right and its really pushing the limits of what the materials can achieve. Impressive indeed as I thought it would have cracked long ago.
I know it maybe too late now, you can get thin plywood that has the grain going only one way, it specially made for bends. I think it is going to look outstanding when it is finished.
Long time no comment James, but still watching. You are doing a great job with limited tools and space. Great to see more progress on the galley. Adrian.
Honestly James, well done mate! You have done an amazing job and learned some amazing skills! Some things take time and you have been an amazing inspiration!
Hi James vlogs are great and she’s coming along nicely, with your dodgy corner you could create this as a timber newel post, as you would expect on a stair extend 100 x 100mm post from floor to ceiling cut it into step to overhang so it doesn’t affect the doors. Just a suggestion?? Looking good. Rich
James your galley is looking beautiful for being in a narrow boat. Custom cabinets like that are usually in 500k homes. Keep up the amazing work... How is your new job going also have you had the twins helping out with the project?
Thanks mate - appreciate the comment. The twins haven’t done much but their time will come. I’ve got the girls on board tonight so I’ll get them to do some easy painting of the lower walls
With the worktop in place, I don't think you'll notice the _slightly dodgy_ corner. I think the trick with bending plywood is to remove every last bit of everything, except the outer layer. Moisten before first bend, then fibreglass in place. All the best, mate.
Could you use steam to heat, moisten and bend the panel whist the area is laid over a radius/ former? Wall paper steamer/stripper might work? Just continued watching, think you've cracked it (not literally 😁) with the backing supports👍

coming on great. Formers are your friends. You are ambitious to get it right and its really pushing the limits of what the materials can achieve. Impressive indeed as I thought it would have cracked long ago.
Great stuff again.
I know it maybe too late now, you can get thin plywood that has the grain going only one way, it specially made for bends. I think it is going to look outstanding when it is finished.
Your tenacity gets you through, looking very good James. Take care.
All those curves have been a lot of efort but I think it's all going to look very nice when it's finished. Good stuff...

@@TheNarrowboatThatJamesBuilt right on 😁
I think it would look better if yo cut the board to reveal the steps, leaving a 50-60 mm step wall , just me otherwise great job
