Thanks!!! For sure some of my favorites to film as well. I love getting people to open up and chat bikes with me, even when they think they don't want to haha -Christina
2:08 YES!!! That is a bike that is really loved & ridden. GO BROTHER! Dirt and scratches are absolutely lovely. :) p.s. Magic Mary up front = he knows his tires.
5:50 I love knolly, I have a delirium, I have ridden dozens of my friends bikes and I am convinced that absolutely no one can make a better bike for me. If you havent tried a knolly book a test ride or figure out some way of test riding one, they are so damn good.
"Tower of in decision" its always good to run about 20-25mm of spacers anyway so you can play around with the stack height. I move my spacers around depending on where I'm riding. More downhill then i raise it more climbing flatter trails then lower the stack.
It went together easily in less than an hour. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
That "work less ride more" top, I need it in my life! Finally a slogan I can stand behind :-) The "ride every day" one is also neat. (Edit: found it online; joke's on me because in order to afford it i'll need to work more... back to no logo no frills normcore it is then. Still words to live by)
The second generation of the Bronson was build until 2018, in my definition that’s still a pretty recent Mountainbike. The only changes to the Bronson Gen 3 are the lower VPP link and a few deg different angles. I consider a bike older when it’s roughly 8 years old or uses standards that are obsolete now(like non boost hubs for example. And even then „obsolete“ is a big stretch because they don’t perform any less) I definitely don’t want to dismiss your opinion, because it’s of course totally up to you, when you want to consider a bike old. So no offense man! Do you buy a new bike every 2.5-3 years? If the answer is yes, I’m very jealous. But is it really necessary to exchange your bike so frequently, just for a little bit newer tech?
@@rolux4853 Many people I know changed their bikes for other reasons rather than just wanting the newest tech. Having a bike that breaks down often or simply isn’t a good fit for the person are common reasons ppl get new bikes. Personally I want to keep my bikes as long es possible, but I myself already went through the experience of owning a bike that had a lot of technical problems. (Frame broke twice) I changed it after 2 years of ownership, I am now on a Bronson V3 and couldn’t be happier (1 year since I bought it)
@@rolux4853 Yeah. I guess my 2005 Trek Liquid that I never built up should be placed in a bike Museum. I just bought all my parts finally. I’m not tossing a $1200 frame that only has 2 months of use on it.
Cool vlog Christina. My favorite bike is the first one the Santa Cruz Bronson really good choice and in my opinion the best out of all of them. I also ride Santa Cruz I have a custom build Megatower 29er and also a custom built V10 29er DH bike. Also my third bike I bought this year and upgrading some parts on it is the Specialized S-Works Enduro with a Cascade rear linkage upgrade and bumped the suspension travel to 180MM. I also did that with the Megatower with a Cascade rear linkage upgrade and 180MM travel front and back. Other than that the Trek Slash at the end of the video is nice ride but I would not be riding Trek. Have a great day Christina!!!!
These are great! Really goes to show you that you don’t need the latest and greatest wheight wheenie rocket to have fun on the trails and get a good workout. Although this is mainly about the bikes, weirdly enough it really puts an emphasis on the riding.
Love the ‘tower of indecision’. Also known as the ‘might sell this fork’
So true! I always cut my steerer long. I tend to cycle through bikes more than I should. So, I like leaving it long for the next rider.
For whatever reason these are my favourite Pinkbike videos
In German we say: Meine auch

Lynne is an absolute legend! Look that lady up -Christina
Rockin' the DM's while at it too.
Slash owner: Skids all over the place, it's great
Christina: Hmm
That Trek Slash bike, the saddle angle made my testicles go into hiding
His balls haven't dropped yet...
Most cyclists: gonna skip arm day and hit the trail.
Christina: You thought we were looking at bikes, but I'm bringing you to the GUN SHOW.
hahah thankful for these genes! I got so sunburnt that day! -Christina
@@pinkbike Hah I was actually wondering about that. Hope you had some aloe to calm the flames afterwards.
She could kick my ass for sure. On the trail or in the ring 🤣
Your boyfriend? That’s a husband right there!
He ‘lubes her chain’ too.
That hardtail jumper looks so fun. I love how her "rear suspension" is just a super cush seat.

magic mary is a really shitty cornerer in dry and dusty conditions. REALLY good wet tyre though

Owner of the trek slash, I think we’ve seen you on here b4 with a Scott ransom
hahaha I think you're referring to Toby? Another tall English guy that rides bikes haha but Ransom guy was my pal George Minty -Christina
knolly's are so sick. i just got my first fugitive LT and i am LOVING it. always wanted one and now im super stoked with it. love these bikes.
I know right I just built up a delerium and it feels insane and its by far the best bike I have ever ridden
Dude Cristina is fkn funny. "This is homeboy and he rides every day" "You have some aggressive stem spacers there bud" 🤣🤣🤣
These videos are my favorite! Real riders talking about real bikes. Christina, keep up the great work!! Btw, do you edit and produce these?
The tower of indecision. LOL
Loved that papaya Knolly!! 🤩
9:24 ? The bike changed color haha. Great Video!
Thank You!!! Sorry bout that little fumble there -Christina
And actually got a full suspension !
I wanna know about Scottish Lynne's head tube badge!
9:19 shows Knolly bike/ Pedal clip, while the lady with 'Phils' bike is checking hers. Continuity error :P

Great real world vid. That seat angle on the first slash might numb me in the wrong places!

You consider that generation of the Bronson already „older“?
Oh boy the bike industry surely has it’s customers well trained..

Coincidentally, the weather's just gone shorts and vest good here too. Good timing, good times.
No xc or down country mountainbikers+ only mx bikes whitout the engine those mountainbikes would be a tractor here on the trails
2:49 he might want to replace that cassette soon, it is missing a tooth or two.
Make Christina watch Jeff Kendall Weeds video on scooping plz
The Mcpumer! Rad old school bike!
That yellow as hell Knolly was pretty sweet.
The tower of indecision.... I call it the sternum crusher 9000
why did they show the knollys pedals again instead of the mcgrath?

Happy to see how people shreding their Trek Slash bikes.. I Bought Trek Slash 7 2021 and frame cracked after 3 months of trail riding... :D
I find it funny how 100% of the bikes here SRAM build kits. Maybe the "moving bite point" has struck again.
Christina: : "I hope he lubes your chain, too... "
Proper lubrication...very important, in all aspects of life ;)
Should include height of the rider and size of the bike for reference of those who are buying online.
love these types of vids!!!
Nothing like a slash ay😂
Hi Pinkbike team do you or anyone else know what brand/model sunglasses Chris is wearing? 🤘🏽
That OG mcGrath special was rad. Cool bike! Glad I'm not the only idiot running around on a mid 00's Hardtail haha
Where can I order me own McGrath Pumper? That bike looks like the downhill bomber king of bikes!
Loving the vids!
What do you mean you have never seen a slash you own one buddy
I love this serie
I hate when new riders have great bikes because they don’t know where we started with our hard tail Trek and Fuji’s
LOL "Everyday" for those prices you can buy a vehicle 4x4
Love the 2005 bike and the Stoke .. The other riders were more .. look at my expensive bits aren’t I cool.. But that 2005 rider had all the STOKE
Scottish Lynne is always on another level -Christina
@@pinkbike it’s worldly known that we have more STOKE (Scottish)than everyone else
i think that’s kind of the point of this series.. for people to show off their bikes.
Can verify. I'm part Scottish and I feel I definitely have a good level of Stoke the majority of the time
Theres that one cutting mistake where u guys filmed the wardens pedals when showing the McGrath pumper
Is it just me or is that Knolly more banana yellow than McLaren papaya orange?
Is it just me or do these knolly bikes look like shit?
Give Lynn Armstrong and the McGrath Pumper their own show. There are some more stories there I bet.
"I hope he lubes your chain too"
erm.
I used to like talking to the local rippers too, but I found it was costing me too much $$$ LoL
Great video, love the daily driver's
insane. i ride 35 back 35 front cause im out of shape AF and need as little resistance as possible on the climbs lmao

The Norco Sight is great.

Always make sure to hit up Mile One or The Pony when you're in Pemby :)
Can you put price under the bike name?
I like that idea but it would be way too hard to navigate that hahah so many factors at play -Christina
What happened im minute 9:20 ????? Haaaaaa
Such a good bid
The new slash is the mutts nuts, getting mine on the 21st I hope 🤞
