I am 66 years old and live in Phila. Pa. I love classic, comfy, but elegent pieces that can go from day to night. I also love Talbots and was so disappointed when they closed the Philly store. I think the quality is worth the price.

To the person who commented about Talbots high prices. I do all my shopping when clothes are either on a "good" sale or clearance. Great sales/clearance pricing is late January and into February and even early March. Where I live, winter lasts a long time. lol.
Yes!! I just bought a beautiful pair of leather loafers for 50% off! I always buy when the sales are on, and the Clearance stuff! 👍
Agree ! Also , many colors carry over fr. season to season & often year to year so it's easy to buy clearance yet build on what you already have . When new styles & colors are introduced , they may blend well too . My closet is a good example of T's. coordinates over the years ! ❤💚💛💙

Yes! Talbots offers frequent sales. I never pay full price for anything from Talbots.
I wish I could look good wearing these beautiful primary colors like white, black and red, but I'm truly a soft autumn. Reds, pinks and purples make my nose red like I have a cold, black puts bags under my eyes, and white makes me look washed out. The closest to any kind of Christmas colors that I could wear is warm greens. I guess I'm going to have to create my own version of Christmas colors....like teal, light muted yellows, creams, warm greens and browns. Not popular colors for Christmas so it will be hard to find lol. I can wear navy though and I love the Navy Tee with the Christmas tree on it. Very lovely outfits Kay. TY !

I appreciate how you include warm outerwear. I would love to also see winter boots styled with some outfits since, in reality, half of us will be walking through snow/ice the next 3 months and need good traction and warmth on the feet too. It can be tough to find stylish practical boots. Btw, these come off at the door at most homes we visit, then the socks have to look good. 😁

To the person who commented about Talbots pricing, I look at the cost per wear. If it’s a great quality item and classic styling, I know I’ll have it for 2-4 years so it’s nickels per wear. “Less expensive” clothing in my experience falls apart, loses shape, fabric degrades faster and it is actually more cost per wear in the long run. Fast fashion is also harder on the environment too! Less but better clothing worn longer has been a better clothing investment. And Talbots has fantastic sales! I’m a fan.
True, yet I find their quality has declined in recent years. Too much polyester. They used to have nice silk pants, for example.
Love the sales & I've had many T. pieces for many years - even a scarf , some classic sweaters & tops for decades . Really !!

I love shopping at Talbot’s. They have good sales and especially on line when they offer $50 off for every $200 spent combined with other sale prices. Today everything is 50% off with $5 shipping. I hear reviewers complain about things occasionally but I love their clothes and accessories. I wear size 5 or 5 1/2 shoes and buy almost all my shoes there. Instead of wearing my dressy black/sparkly sweater with black pants, I am going "winter" white this Christmas season. Outfit is already in my closet. I have a winter white wool skirt from Ann Taylor and I have a "off white"/light ivory dressy top. The top is similar to the top you showed with sheer sleeves; bought it last year from Versona. I like this idea because it is not completely matchy-matchy. I will wear black "somewhat dressy" boots with heel. I live in a cold weather area, so will need to wear those boots. This is to a church service function with dinner afterwards.

Same here. 90% of my Talbots is from Goodwill. It's always in great condition/practically new and excellent quality. It's caused me to shop in store too.

I am lucky! I have a July birthday. Talbots has a 40% off clearance in July and I think 25% off regular prices (or some other sale) so I say happy Birthday to me. By the time I leave with my 15% birthday month Ican have almost $400of beautiful clothing for around $100.

The only thing I don’t like are the tops with limiting holiday graphics. I prefer clothing I can wear for longer than a few weeks. I especially like the black turtleneck and pink trousers but I also love navy and pink combined.

My favourite outfit in this video was the one with the black turtleneck, pink trousers and black and white scarf, with the floral clutch :) Timeless, but very modern too thanks to the pink, and chic. My less favourite were the first outfit with the red tartan trousers and beige top, and that with the black tartan trousers and black Christmas top, as at first I thought they were very cute pyjamas! lovely for a cosy evening at home or Christmas morning opening the gifts, but I personally wouldn't wear them at a chic holiday dinner party outside for instance. Maybe it's just the way they looked on my screen, or possibly because I'm French they looked a bit underdressed even for a casual outing? I loved the fact you presented your outfits with coats, it was a wonderful idea, thank you :)

I’m going to go play in my closet because I have most of these pieces but I couldn’t resist the fuschia pants which I did not already have. My favorite with The hot pink and orange is winter white. Last year I remember seeing a video of yours where you did not like wearing the longer necklaces because it brought attention to your midsection. But I’ve noticed you’ve worn them a few times this year. I guess you’ve relaxed that a bit.

Also do yoy have wide feet? I do not and most of the influencers I watch seem to so they recommend brands that specialize in wider sizes. You always have lovely footwear, although I can no longer do heals, but some of your loafers etc.

Fun! Some great ideas here, Kay, thank you. If I may make a tiny suggestion re French pronunciation, "minaudière" is pronounced min-ode-ee-air. When there is an "e" at the end of a word. we pronounce the "r". Wishing you and yours a very joyeux noel!
Do you find Talbots clothes look and fit a little boxy? I have a more hourglass figure and the tops are too straight and the pants are too big through the waist and tighter through the thighs. The clothes look great on tall people with a more athletic build.
Are the vests meant to be outer wear or an indoor completer piece?

Talbots have 30 or 40 % off everything very often & that’s when I shop. I’ve stopped buying so many clothes as I’m retired & my lifestyle is so casual… fewer clothes- better quality!
Me too-retired now so needing fewer business outfits. But because I have quality garments in my closet, including many from Talbots, I always have something classy and classic to wear. You and I have the same less quantity/more quality outlook. 🇨🇦✔️
All of the outfits are beautiful. Like others commenting here, I also love the pink outfits, but the pink pants look too short given that they're wide leg.

Interesting. Is that what people in the US wear during holiday season? Don't get me wrong, the outfits themselves are nice, not outstanding, but nice for Ladies over 50, but where is the glamour for the holidays? Corduroy trousers? For Christmas? Really? Would you not rather wear dresses or a festive skirt/blouse combo? I am from Europe, so I am afraid I don't understand this type of style...
Could you make a fashion video for ladies who are overweight? Your tips are great, but many of your outfits won’t look attractive or feel comfortable for those of us with extra weight.
I’m not a fan of Talbots, I think most of their items are frumpy, the fabrics are inferior (synthetics) and the fit doesn’t work for me at all - they’re designed for women with really big hips, thighs and bottoms. I ordered a cashmere cardigan, then I discovered it actually has knitted-in gussets for fat hips, these stick out like flaps and look downright stupid. Plus, they use vanity sizing, everything is always just too large, even though I always take my measurements and use their size chart. Their tops, sweaters, etc. are tunic-length, which is not only very unflattering, but decades out of style. I’ve had a better experience with their Haven loungewear line, which uses more natural-fiber fabrics, but the sizing is still weird, tight waists and enormous hips and thighs. Their cashmere is super-itchy, they use a very low grade, but the prices are hugely inflated.
