16:20 that might be the original crosshatch pattern 😁 Shiny, smooth cylinders aren't good. Enjoy the process! I wish I knew more when I yanked my first engine. Ended up only cleaning up the exterior of the tired Buick 3.8 & only replaced cupped lifters. If I knew better, I'd have pulled the pistons, honed it and threw in a new cam too. I was 16 and doing it all alone. Anyway, have fun!

That thing was in great shape. Hopefully you've done your research when you pick out the cam, most catalog cams are based on 350s and will act totally different in a 305. And also if you decide to go with different heads you can't run 350 heads on a 305. Your bore is to small and the value will hit the block.. good luck and have fun 👍

Yessir, spent a lot of time looking for a good cam with the correct duration and lobe separation that will work with the computer. I’m just gonna build these 416 heads for this budget build, slightly bigger valves, deshrouding, beehive valve springs, screw in studs, port an polish the intake ports. These little heads will be perfect!

I doubt anyone would want that cam & lifters.

Yeah probably. I know some people like to do factory spec restorations so it’s out there if anyone needs it. But the small lift and duration makes it super undesirable
