In kolkata there was a man named Premdas Goswami he was in stage-3 cancer, and was extremely poor. Doctors had told him that he wouldn't survive more than 6 months as his condition was serious. Someone told his family about mother teresa and how kind she was, so they all reached to her for help. She helped them and guess what?? in 6 months he didn't die, infact premdas never died. Coz Peter Gonzalez died of cancer in hospital.

I knew these long back, just passed out from St.Teresa's Secondary school, Kolkata. Honestly, I feel fortunate for not being brainwashed like my other classmates and understand the underlying intension of these Christian Missionary schools. They didn't even leave the chance to cut off Rakhis or holy red threads on our wrists .I was ashamed to be a part of this school for the last 12 years and now want to forget all the memories.
I have also studied in a catholic school and thier they also cut off our Rakhis and red threads .

I agree with you too. I completed my high school 3 years ago from Loreto Convent, Delhi (same Christian institute of Loreto sisters which Teresa joined) and honestly the way they treat people of other religions, especially Hinduism is like hell. Christian teachers and students were in majority so obviously hating on Hindu customs, rituals, and of course our Gods was used as the prime example of teaching. There were stupid discussions in classrooms regarding Hindu temples, and nobody bothered to care about hurting the sentiments of people like us. So am I ashamed to be part of such a school. And I vowed myself never to join any private so-called Convent school or university again in my life because what they show on the outside is very different from inside.
Then who asked u to study into a convent school ? Who brainwashed whom ? Don't you know everyone has the right to share their own religion there are lots of Christian people converting inti hindu and their are lots of Hindus converting into christians ... It's all about their own beliefs u can't just say they convert schools brainwash people .... I am also from Kolkata and yes 80% schools are Christian or u can say convent here ... I have followed mother teresa from a young age, like we have literally read her stories and other's stories as role model right? I didn't believe some of the videos at first but then when I started reading about the complaints my heart broke. Honestly it was like when we are young and we idolise some people and as we grow up those images shatter. Wish it wasn't like this

You still are not familiar. And Teresa claimed to be the angel, she pretended to help the poor while she used the poverty for years and filled banks of Vatican City. My personal opinion: no one dares to continue serving the poor with funds, it's not easy at all, if she did, it would have been evident much, but it is the heart not money. I did my schooling in a convent school and obviously our teachers, staff members were all Christians. We had a really intelligent teacher in our school she was pursuing her PhD then and that was the 1st time our class got to know what PHD is. she used to always share information out of the syllabus and some very intresting info. Once while teaching about mother Teresa at the end of the class she told us that mother Teresa was only here in India to spread Christianity and there are many dark truths about her which no one discusses. Being a 10th class student it was a instant shock for us. I was flabbergasted and forced to do a personal research on her. Now when I learn about her and colonial India I feel immense shock that there's so so much more to know and there are tremendous and hell lot of things which are still kept under the carpet. Insane

It's really easy to criticize, but I'm a doctor in a government medical college and have for the past 30 years, personally seen the service they do .Most of the children in their homes are severely handicapped, they need full time care, we send all the old and bedridden patient's who have been abandoned by their children and families to Nirmal Hriday and they are reasonably well looked after, they are brought for review, etc. I'm sure where manpower is scarce mistakes happen. Wrong diagnosis, delay in hospitalization happen all the time even in government AND corporate hospitals. Hot water!!, this is India . Anyhow is there any other organization which does this kind of work in such a large scale. As far as funding from corrupt people is concerned, all governments in the world are funded by not so ethical people.

None of these people who did this video would want to even sit beside any of the poor sick and homeless people abandoned in streets as they are dirty stinking and contagious. But imagine a lady born in another country comes to a poor country dedicates her life in service of the poor and down trodden. Literally their own families abandoned them and left them to die.. She ensured they had someone to care of them in their last time and gave them the possible ways to make them comfortable in their sufferings. She was not called as Mother for no reason.. She truly was a Mother to the neglected people through her acts of immense kindness.
The country she came from was Albania which was a very poor country and missionaries are all from poor families who are brainwashed by a few business minded people to earn money , just given a small house and few clothes and two times meagre food to carry out the business called conversions.

I am from Kolkata and have studied from both St. Teresa's Higher Secondary School as well as from Loreto College... both being places where Mother Teresa had taught. At that time there was a voluntary nomination for all students who wish to do social service for which I enrolled myself. One of the places was the orphanage home which was under missionaries of charity. I got to actually work with Mother Teresa and her aura was very calm n strong and the orphanage was well kept. I also got to meet Princess Diana When she visited Mother Teresa because of this. Being a Sardarni I wear Kada on my wrist but in no institution was I ever asked to take them out. I too have heard a lot against her... but since I never got to face her evil side (if she had one) I guess I will stick with what I experienced.

I studied in a Christian school that is within a 200m radius of Mother Teresa’s “Missionaries of Charity”. We would volunteer and spend time at her old age facility. Have seen sun weird stuff.
I happen to know that ship loads (not joking) of toys, clothes, books and all kids essentials would be reaching Kolkata Port for her charity. But very few of these items would reach the orphans…

Christians do service because Jesus Christ himself came to serve and not to be served. We the followers serve because our Master has taught us to serve. No Christian will ask a non Christian to convert as Jesus did not ask his followers to convert but said love one another as I have love you.

this is a wrong line of thought. India's economy was and still is crippled by foreign powers. Missionaries came all over the world along with aggressor who conquered the natives by various cunning mean and crippled the local economies. The poor and vulnerable then fell pray to missionaries free food. Remember there is no free food in this world. Even parents do not give free food. They give because you are carrying their genes and serve as security in their old age. In Nagaland lots and lots of nagas are alcoholic but missionaries go to teach and preach only the non Nagas especially the hindu alcoholics.
None of the criticisms weigh more than her deeds. Who is to worry about how much money she had. She renounced it and lived out her faith.
She worked to collect the money, to fill the bank accounts of Vatican and to feed the missionaries whose duty and dedication is to convert the poor to Christianity.
That is the plan and purpose and not any social service because if that were the case, she would spend a little amount to sterilize the needles and syringes and provide beds for convalescing patients and the old.

When Mother Teresa was around, we had a steady stream of high-ranking foreign dignitaries or their spouses visiting her, but after her death, despite the fact that Sister Nirmala ( a home-grown Nun, not from Europe) is doing the same, if not greater work, not even 1% of those dignitaries visit nowadays. Quite strange, isn't it ?
Visiting of foreigners has been restricted from 1999 and there is also ban for receiving charity funds from foreign countries.. As far as I know, Mt Teresa did not convert anyone to her religion. She was an arrogant lady and her only focus was to feed the poor. She was arrogant because she did not like the way the rich people lived when there were millions without food around them...

To be honest, I'd rather have something than nothing. Imagine if there was no Mother Theresa in a newly independent India ravaging from famine and poverty and sickness? perhaps the sickness and poverty would have consumed more lives. I was once asked if i would dress up the wounds or feed a single meal to an abandoned boy on the roadside, for which i didn't know what to say. But the fact that someone lived their life to do that to atleast make the lives of these suffering a bit better than what was is significant enough. Let's put ourselves in this situation and think for a moment.

The sick patients were screaming in pain and they were only being baptized without their consent instead of giving proper medical treatment. Does this reduce their suffering in any way ?

Exactly!! Those who are so proudly condemning mother Teresa should ask themselves if they will even do .01% of what she did. Leaving her own country, learning foreign languages and customs adapting a saree instead of the gown which she could have and caring for those on the streets. When you become a missionary you never change. Thanks for bringing this out. Most of our books and education taught us she was an angel until a few years ago I got to know the truth..
maybe u are right , but if we were in this place could we even take care of so many poor people? could we do it on our own expense? , atleast she accomodated them during bad days of world conflicts and stuff where there was no facilities and technology
during covid times we ourselves were the witnesses , our friends and relatives kept themselves away frm us fearing of the sickness , a normal fever and people won't come near u , the dead bodies weren't accepted in some places , it was almost same back those days too

Even though negligence is one thing, it nevertheless provides necessities like a roof, food, clothing and hope. When no one else could or would, she filled that gap. The baptism of the terminally ill patients can be explained by her strong faith in heaven could be achieved only through her religion. The truth is so very different from what you have said. I have known Mother Teresa and her work personally for years. As a human being, I think, she was limited in her understanding of some things and expressions. But her intentions to help the poorest of the poor and to alleviate their sufferings is beyond any doubt. Her integrity and goodwill is unmatched. I am waiting to see any other individual do what she did and how she did it. But it is true that people throw stones only on trees that bear fruit. HERE IS THE PROOF
1.I have worked and currently working as volunteer in old age homes and rehabilitation centres. Irrespective of religion followed in care homes, they are unhygienic and untidy. Unless you can afford 80k to 90k per month just as rent and diapers medicines extra cost , the care homes are going to be disaster.
2. Malaria is a disease with chills and high grade fever. So paracetamol is Symptomatic and right treatment. Imagine having 104 degree fever, and just because you know diagnosis as malaria you are not treating their fever. What will be the condition pf patient?
3. And regarding the funds. Let me tell you how it works. Even if people claim to have given funds, most of them do not reach the care homes. For example in recent event Amber Heard claimed to give money to children hospital which they never received. Even if it's recieved most of the money goes off in previous debts.
4. And when it comes to maintaining sterility of instruments and keeping the person alive, we end of choosing to keep people alive.
Imagine you have 30 patients a room and one syringe(which was the case in those eras in hospitals) so you have to boil the injection for 20 minutes and cool it 30 times to inject medicine to each patient. You wouldnt have been able to finish morning dose and it would be already evening.
5. The miracle you are referring to is not claimed by mother theresa herself. It happened after her death. So calling her monster is quite far fetched.
6. When people are in rehabilitation care they are in extreme pain, they curse people around them, no painkillers work( morphine works and is very difficult to get it in India). So care givers end up telling nice words to calm them down.
7. In reality these days in old age homes, illiterate girls of age less than 18 work. When they get angry at patients (since they are teenagers and have to change diapers constantly ). They end up beating patients. You have never witnessed mother Theresa like that. So respect her for giving care.
8. Baptism is not an easy procedure, especially when done for adults. And it's done by priests not nuns. I think the washcloth was used for tepid sponging, since patients had fever

TBH pain killers can't be given to patients on a regular basis it has side effects too. And regarding suffering, she used to motivate people and give them Strength to fight against pain by letting them know that this pain is little before what Jesus Christ has suffered. It's not like she used to like people suffering but she used to boost their fighting strength for diseases like Leprosy, AIDS, etc. At least she gave them shelter , food and basic necessities which our Nation/ other religion people failed to do so i would say at least don't criticize such people. I did my schooling and degree both from catholic institutes. I have mixed opinions on this topic , I do understand that she is a great inspiration and her work is known all over the world, but we cannot deny the fact that history has some serious dark conspiracies. Everything that’s been done in the past mostly took place with an ulterior motive be it a political movement, or the help offered. And this happens even today we never know after few years the upcoming generations will be reading about people of 21st century who were known for their greatness but their dark sides will be revealed.
