Hopefully Surge Concerto DX sells enough that Tsuchiya will consider it, or even make spiritual successors/sequels. I wanna explore a fully regenerated Ar Ciel one day, in such a way we could get some male singers (either Teru or a new species/technology). I say so because there's so little hymnos I can sing along with without sounding like an idiot or straining my voice. Croix and Dian just weren't enough for me.
@@mintysballroom The lore of Ar Tonelico leaves us with a loophole to where there _can_ be male Reyvateils ; they simply need to be cases of De Chapelle syndrome (cisgender males with male phenotypes and XX chromosomes). So technically, there is no need to resort to other species : male Reyvateils would be a possibility in-universe, even though they would be so vanishingly rare that there could only ever be one relevant to the story (De Chapelle's frequency is one in about twenty thousand in ordinary humans, so when considering the small amounts of 3rd generation Reyvateils born at all, it becomes ridiculously unlikely). The truth, though, is that it would never happen, because it contradicts the "aesthetic" that Tsuchiya most likely wanted to achieve.

It's been nearly two years and no one has picked up on the image of Star Platinum from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure in the bottom right corner when the lyrics say "o-ra"...
Or they get recognition as a complete package or they get none. It's beyond frustrating to see people come with their backhanded "compliments" about music being the only good part to these games and calling the rest trite, fanservice-filled anime trash.

Dammit, this song is too freaking good... I've been listening to it way too much the past several days. xD I've always been a huge fan of the vocal harmonies used in the songs for these games, for example at 1:02. And from what I've heard from listening to a lot of these songs so far, particularly Minakatta and Mikazuchi (the two main battle themes), they incorporate the violin amazingly! I'm really impressed by it so far, and even this song has a bit of that. It's so awesome! Also, the part at 0:45 sounds so cool! I can't even describe it, but it really pumps me up. Is that the part you meant when you said it was hard to figure out? Because I can see why. There's so much going on at the same time. :P I love that though.

Yeah, they get overshadowed by the Drakengard/Nier series.
Problem is their shit gameplay, Nier suffered from the same problem but through Platinum gameplay the story shined.

And yep, one of the best things from Ar nosurge's music are Akihisa Tsuboy's violin performances. The man is really one of the best violinists ever.
