Hi Marty, thanks for getting back to me so quickly when I emailed you. I think everything is up and running now. I have to agree with the other folks, this is truly a great tutorial. Will be checking out your other tutorials too.
1) Go to "Window" 2) "Shapes" 3) Click the icon at the upper, right of the Shapes panel to open the fly-out list 4) Click "Small List" 5) Open Back the fly-out list 6) Click "Legacy Shapes and More" 7) Scroll down the patterns list to see it
Maybe it's because I have an updated version of Photoshop, but my gradient color picker tool isnt coming up. And I don't see the option to choose the rounded rectangle shape. I also do not see the shape tool either. Is there something I am doing wrong?
The interface has evolved over the years. For gradients, when you click "Gradient" at the top, you'll also see "Classic gradient". The rectangle shapes functions: ruclips.net/video/hSaSC2MioCg/видео.html
The way I solved it: before transformation just press ctrl+j to copy the symbol, then press ctrl+a to select all and continue as instructed in the tutorial.
Wonderful tutorial Marty - thanks so much for taking the time to do this - you're a superstar mate!

I've got a question: how to make the whole card shape smaller?
I dont have those shapes in my shapes panel. How do I get those?
1) Go to "Window"
2) "Shapes"
3) Click the icon at the upper, right of the Shapes panel to open the fly-out list
4) Click "Small List"
5) Open Back the fly-out list
6) Click "Legacy Shapes and More"
7) Scroll down the patterns list to see it
Thank you sooo much!
As someone that has never opened photoshop, I managed to make these cards with your help. Thank you again!
Great tutorial

Thank you for letting me know. The links are now working.
Anyone know where to download the custom shapes he uses?
The template is located in the video's description below the video. Click "Show More" and scroll down.

Same here. It just moves the symbol on the other side of the card. 6:03 is the time in the video. :)

Yes, you're right. My bad! Before your transform the card number and its suit, make a copy of it by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + J. Sorry about that!
