    Leaving Romania from a vacation where I helped volunteering at a bear sanctuary, I stopped by a traditional farmers market outside of a citadel called Cetatea RUPEA. Many times on the roads, I passed by old horse drawn wooden carts. They were everywhere. I saw dozens lined up off the road and stopped to see what they were doing. It was a farmers market catering to their specific livelihood. I took some photos and film of their activities.
    There was every sort of domesticated animal for sale there. Horses, pigs, cattle, sheepdogs, and food. Everything was traditional to the handmade whips to the dog collars, food and wooden carts. I did buy a couple of whips and some sheepdog collars. I am using one of the collars for my Saint Bernard. She's wearing it today. It's heavy duty and was only $12.00; designed for lifelong wear around the necks of sheepdogs in the Carpathian Mountains of the Balkans.
    I missed filming one of the more interesting events I saw there. They test the strengths of the horses that are used to pull the carts. People pile onto the cart. They put on the brakes to the tires and have a horse pull and drag the cart across the ground; skidding the tires. The horses that drag it the longest distance are preferred. They almost knocked people down when then they drug the cart into the crowd.
    I also liked the old heritage looking woman in the scarf driving her big horse and cart through the crowd. She reminded me of the rugged individual; the American Pioneer woman that help make America. She had been doing this a long time; probably all her life.
    Being born in the city, it was nice seeing the other side of life from a perspective of people living a semi-subsistence life. The cultural divide was refreshing to witness. There is a lot of respect from me for people who survive on the historic heritage. It takes guts, determination, and know how to live like this. Nothing is taken for granted.

    Hopefully this culture is able to persist for years to come. It may prove to be important for them to teach other rural areas further away how to use draft animals again. Industrial society will probably continue in certain areas, but it likely won't be the same and affordable as modern things continue to rise in price.

    The Mrs. says: horses can live off of the land while a tractor requires gasoline and where in the heck is a gas station, further when the horse gets old and to old to work you can eat the horse. My mother was English and said you can cook the horse meat and pickle it and make a lot of different foods and survive, remember, that country gets so damn cold and you will be glad you have anything to eat. You can sell the wool from your sheep and again eat the sheep, where's the darn Walmart, yeah sure, and the home depot, don't make me laugh, boys and girls were talking survival and you better be ready to work like a dog all the time especially during the Summer Months that's when you get ready for Winter, you better have food for all of your livestock and yourself, hell no I would never want to live there it takes a special person to survive there and Lord it ain't me.

    I hope you do not mind me asking about the paranormal urban legends when you were there in Romania. Did you happened to hear of sightings of werewolves and the natives themselves have 8 foot fences around their houses and metal/steel bars on their windows? Plus nobody goes out at night. I happened to hear a story from a guy working in a farm area in Alba- lulia not far from Transylvania. I am not trying to be funny but I am very concern about safety. Does the villagers own firearms?

    • @CheetahWhisperer
      @CheetahWhisperer  7 лет назад +2

      I actually went out looking for trouble. I'm not someone who is afraid of animals. Heard about a large animal that was raiding the dumpsters at night from a neighboring forest. I set my alarm for 2:00am and drove out to where they spotted it and walked into the forest with a lantern hoping to find something. I did this several nights but was horribly disappointed I found nothing. I also drove around Brasov looking for any unusual sightings and animals, but mostly for bears to feed off the winding highways. They weren't there. The city stopped the habit of feeding them.

    • @Paullawshingwhye

      You are either very brave or you are really out of your freaking mind. I am truly glad that you came back in one piece. The guy in the story was actually volunteering in a charity called Wolf organic farming or something like that. He was staying in a totally furnished cottage that also still stores huge blocks of cheese and where he was there were dry hay on the floor and under his bed very rustic indeed. The cottage as you guessed it have steel metal bars welded onto the windows and a 8 foot fence around the parameter. The other houses around the estate did the same thing except for the Eastern Orthodox Church which is strange.
      He described that the whole area in that place was like heaven on earth where the vegetables, trees and leaves are so green and healthy plus the animals there were huge in size compared to the normal ones outside Romania.
      He supposed to stay there for a month but left at the end of the third week due to the encounter with the werewolf. It paid him a visit around 3 am. But before he encounter it, for a couple of nights he just got a sudden feeling that something is watching him and kept him awake but he tried very hard to get back to sleep. So finally he did what you did, he purposely woke up at 3 am and wait on his bed. That was when he heard something like a loud thud on the grass patch outside his cottage as though something jumped over the fence and landed loudly and boy he felt the ground shook then there was this deep breathing and growl outside. So he peeped outside his window and he saw a real hairy beast but the mid section only.
      The chest area is already above 6 foot high or so but later he managed to see the classic werewolf face to face at the other window which really horrified him. That beast has hands with real sharp claws and teeth. It was trying to get into the cottage by fiddling the door knob which he later managed to get a crow bar to stuck it in to prevent that beast from coming in. There is this farm dog which was standing guard near his entrance outside that was also barking loudly at the beast but to no avail. He was so scared and nearly broke down and started praying to God for mercy. The beast suddenly stopped trying and left. The guy wished he had a weapon but God seemed to have heard his prayer. So once the sun came up he packed up his stuff and got the first flight out of Romania.

      I had lost faith in science TOTALLY. As there were Giant humanoid bones that were recovered in certain countries, some were displayed but majority of the evidence was missing mysteriously like a cover up. You see I'm what the vast majority would call a holy Joe or nut case. I stick to God's word. I also realized that the elites's Science Society doesn't want the world to know that there were giants in this world before and after the the Great Flood. The Bible talks about it in the book of Genesis. But our earthly elite masters who control the world media and science society doesn't want us to know. They kept on giving these giants long scientific names and proclaimed it to be from the ape species or certain long lost human species or anything but Giants.

    • @CheetahWhisperer
      @CheetahWhisperer  7 лет назад +1

      I'm a Bible believer as well, but also have a science degree so I weigh both what I know and what my faith relies on. I have balanced creationism with evolution and see they both have merit. God created life and allowed nature to manipulate it.
      I've read the stories of the giants and seen some skeletons. If you noticed, species get larger over time but the environment usually crashes them down to size in some cataclysmic event. The dinosaurs, then the great mammals, and now what is today. Pressures from survival and the environment resulted in prey animals becoming larger to avoid being killed, while predators became larger and stronger to catch up. It is why we had the great animals of this earth and it a reason for giant humans as well. Man used to live for up to 900 years before the environment changed again and created organisms of pesitilance. Maybe the great flood brought it to them. It is what I think.

      Alba Iulia actually is in Transilvania (modern day Ardeal).The werewolves the villagers hear at night are in fact bears. You can see them in highly touristic cities such as Brașov, Sinaia, Bușteni, always raiding the big dumpsters of hotels and residential buildings (the ones closest to forests). So yeah... no werewolves (vârcolaci) or vampires, iele, sânziene, strigoi, muma pădurii or other mythical creatures like these, sorry.

Amazing, and why there are protests now. It is a disappointment and a negative notch on them. At least the people realise the hypocrisy and criminality of it all and protesting.

    You see, Evolution is void of God's interference. Where else Creationism involves God. So that's why I see both of them not non mixable or compatible.
