Thanks for the video - it's good to see a Mr. Big ranking. Just to clarify regarding 'To Be With You' - the song was written by Eric Martin in the 70s and included on a cassette of ideas he presented to the band when working on material for their second album. He didn't expect them to pay it much attention, but they loved the song and were keen to record it. It was felt that it would be perfect for a closing track. It became a hit almost a full year after the album's release, when the band were wrapping up the tour and planning the next album. They then toured all over again to re-promote Lean Into It, of the back of the song's success. It certainly wasn't written or recorded as a joke.
No problem! I try to give some bands some loving that I feel need more. Wow I didn't know that thanks for the info. I could have sworn I read the record producer put it on last because he didn't think it would be a good fit for the band, but I guess I was wrong. Good decision by Eric to bring the song to the band. It all worked out in the end.
Really enjoyed this! Love mr mig! I like the new stuff a tad more than you so our ranking would differ a bit but who could argue with your #1 fantastic! You should do a top mr big songs! That’d be cool!
Thanks man. I liked What If a lot the other two were hit and miss for me. That would take a lot of thinking for me. I listen to so many bands I have a hard time making a list of my favourite songs let alone for one band but I could do that one day if I sat down and thought about it enough haha. Yeah Lean into it is a classic.
I don't have the full collection but I would put Lean Into it as my favorite album from theirs. Just saw the farewell concert over in Ft. Lauderdale. I am from Miami but they put a great show. I hope you can catch them this tour! The place they played was less than 600 seats but had great acoustics. Robin Zander's son opened up and he did 2 of his dad's music of Cheap Trick. All the best!
Pittsburgh show is tomorrow but it sold out may have to drive to Cleveland! I saw them once with Pat before he died they were good. Paul is from Greensburg.
@@retro_wanderluster9962 I saw them when Lean Into came out and it was a smaller club than the place I went to a week ago but if you go to Cleveland , get them soon before that sells out! Pat was a great drummer for sure!

Thanks! I try to be honest in all my videos. I wish I could take this somewhere but I am old at heart haha. Mr. Big is bascially a supergroup amazing talent for sure. Paul was born about 2 hrs from where I live.
@Undying I'm a horror and martial arts action guy mostly but may look into it. I wasn't much into cartoons or related stuff haha. I'm sure there are horror-themed ones. I do wanna go to Japan so bad mainly for the old video games and vinyl pressings haha 😄

I have done Tesla Accept and I hope to do Dokken sooner rather than later. I did a retrospective on Jani Lane and a review of Dog Eat Dog.
