Kim Hyun Joo you are really a beautiful person inside and out. Not everyone can touch, carry and embrace children who have skin disease because of fear of getting infected. Even dermatologists, most of the time, wear gloves when they examine their patients. But with you, I didn’t see any hesitancy or fear when you did those things. I only see sincerity and love in what you were doing and you even turned your back from the camera to cry after going out from one of the tents. I can sense that those children reacted warmly to you because they felt how you were moved by their pain and suffering. The way you touched them, for me, seemed like you have healing hands. I became your fan last year after watching I Have A Lover here, in my country, the Philippines, but after watching the charity work you did in Africa, Bangladesh and even, here in my country, I admired you more. You are really humble and kindhearted that’s why God blessed you with so many talents. we're talking about people who don't have a nickel to buy even a grain of rice to feed themselves and you are asking about condoms, well first of all they can't afford them and even if it was giving freely to them and they used it, it won't solve anything because that's not the main problem, their population is barely 10 millions in 1,284,000 km2 =495,753 sq mi, that means 20 people per sq mi which means it's not overpopulation they are suffering from, so if you want them to stop procreating might as will tell them to go extinct. the root of the problem is the rebels and the corruption, so if there's a way to help is by providing them with food and helping with water shortage because it's not lack of eduction they're suffering from, it's lack of opportunities and investments in the country, there are many educated chadian people who just despair and leave the country because there's nothing to do.
Well, I did some research (googling). But first I apologized if my first comment sound harsh. But reality itself is harsh.
But I still stand by my point. However I tried to understand whats going on.
1. They don't have access to contraceptive or too poor to get one.
2. Economy scale - more child means more people to work for food - but it proves otherwise by UN report.
3. Religion issue - to some (Christianity and Muslim) its sinful to use contraceptive. And those religion promote to have more child.
4. Lack of education - poor family planning.
5. Woman has no power - most are decided by the man of the house. They can have baby whenever they wanted to.
and etc..
But the problem remains. There is no quality of life. Charity can only provide food and clothing at most, but its still like trying to fill an endless pit, which not solving anything in the long run. Money should be put for better use especially in education and agriculture purposes. So they can sustain their life because getting help from outsider are very difficult (even if you wanted to help).

This was very sad and I hope an eye opener for people to help families in need. I see that some people get offended by videos like this but you shouldn't. Not only Korea has shows like this to bring awareness to situations like this A lot of good comes out of it. Why would they show a part of any country on a show about making donations and reaching out that doesn't look like it needs help? Of course they are going to show the part that does. In all of the episodes I have watched they even mention how their own country was like this. I do not think they mean any harm they just want to help. Don't fuss over it...just help. If you can't or don't want to then just stop watching and leave it to the people that can or at least are willing to.

I can see why some Africans are mad at this video because it just shows the poverty and illnesses of the people in those countries. All KBS did was use African countries poverty as a tool for making money which isn't right. KBS knew that taking video footage of those countries would make publicity so they added Korean actors and actresses.
