I was watching a tactical bassing video or tackle warehouse video and they talked about either a Mach shallow spool or some other one if I recall. Also I like the look of the Veritas BFS budget rod and used to have a spinning version some years ago and really liked it. Thanks for pointing out these items!!!

I really wish more manufacturers would come out with shorter BFS and spin finesse rods. Huge gap in the market there. The brand that has done it thus far is is Z-Man (I would really love if you reviewed that rod, though in it a spinning rod... it's very unique and I know you like to find different products).
It is actually really hard to find tests and info on throwing a 1/32 oz Sierra slammer type lure in alpine lakes. Everyone seems to test, and want I guess, a mini bass rig.

Now I am unsure about the rod :/ I plan to get the 24 Tatula SV TW100 soon and a matching Rod in ML. I thought the Tartula XT is going to match nicely but now I see that the Abu Veritas BFS looks actually very nice (and is White, what I love) and is longer. Would love to see them in a comparing review

Don't waste money on the KK Valiant Eagle II. They are still having issues with over braking just the Krestel BFS.
I would love to try the Hundo LTS or just the regular Hundo but Im not forking over over $400 for one. At least they brought over the better color for the Valiant Eagle 2

Abu Garcia came out with a more expensive bfs reel at icast. Its the Zenon. Comes in 2 different gear ratios, and is 549.

I have the 2023 poison adrena bfs, and the taper was more of a fast, slightly moderate fast, so the 2024 ex-fast taper should be amazing!

@THEREELTEST - Yeah, I'm not diggin' it. Kinda hard to match and brings me back to the days of trying to find something that looks good with the Daiwa airdx.
Lemme tell ya I just got a old 18 kinetic ultralight 6”6 casting rod and it was 109$ absolute steal i highly recommend you give it a whirl might be the best budget bfs rod out 1/32-3/16 4-6lb line rating “I have 8lb braid on it” and it slays caught a bunch of saltwater species on it along with tons of 2+ lb bass people sleep on this thing

I've been running a bass pro crappie max 6' with the tatula bf 70.
The rod is 40$ and works well, if you threw the 70$ kastking on it.
110$ rig for bfs...
The crappie max also has 7' at the same price. Thought about grabbing one to see if it was better to have that extra foot.

Probably because he's either praising Shimano and bashing another brand or he's giving mediocre scores to other reel brands despite doing well with them during a casting test. It's ok to be bias but sometimes it comes off as immature. Not to mention some of his replies comes off as very douchey. Some comments are clearly rage bait but still. Plus he preaches a verse every vid lol. It's probably a reach but all that put together is why some people can't stand him. Not a big fan myself, but I can't lie that his content is informative.
Probably cause most people dont like his opinion or when he says he doesnt like a particular brand. People cant handle stuff like that. Fisherman get butt hurt more than anyone i know if you dont agree there brand is the best.

Well I dont really try to promote my channel, I dont beg for or buy subscribers(yes you can purchase subscribers from companies apparently). I dont have any other social medial other than a Instagram that I rarely post on and most people dont know I even have lol. Its all good though, the real ones know whats up!

You didnt go over cashion. They have 3 new models of bfs. Actually, they are great rods. The medium light i have been using for a min.

Why are those Bates reels so expensive? Do they have some crazy new innovation or have super high quality or why should anyone get one? You can literally get almost any reel from Digitaka for the price of that reel.

That revo bfs looks so good, but dang why 7.2oz weight, though . . .? Kastking brought back the budget bfs to TackleWarehouse, though a tad more expensive than previous Zephyr.
You have to pay for the light stuff lol. Trust me, the Valiant Eagle 2 is built much better than the Zephyr.
I think these reel companies need to get back to basics and start making quality reels for a decent price! Instead of following each other down a rabbit hole!!!
I would definitely be interested in your review of the tatula xt rod. I’m considering picking one up. But just like you, I wish it came in a 6’10 or 6’11.
Also, I’m interested in the KK VE II. I heard there is a new “pro” version not available here but I haven’t heard anything about that black and red model. Is that the new “pro”? Or is it just a different color scheme of the old VE II?
I own the Black VEII which I got a year or two ago from china and it was the normal version, I don't know for sure but I would bet this is the same reel not the "pro" version with the lighter spool.
@@abelabner On Aliexpress, the black and red VE2 was called a limited color edition. Im not sure about a "pro" version
@@THEREELTEST Apparently KK is making a VE2 and KE "pro" models with lighter spools. The BFS Fishing channel got his hands on it recently and mentioned he would update us when he gets more information on how to obtain it.

@@leepao6302 I used to be atheist like you for years. And I could shut down any Christian who was trying to prove that God is real with questions they couldn't answer. Unfortunately today the secret societies (they run this world) have taken over Christianity and watered it down and deliberately removed alot of scriptures from the bible. It took some time but YHWH(God) slowly revealed himself to me. After I found out the truth, there is no going back even if I tried.

I have trouble casting any rod down to its lowest rating. Must be my casting stroke, but I am not sure. any thoughts? I mostly overhand cast.
What rod is it
@@THEREELTEST With any rod, from ML to H. I think I try to cast harder which doesn't work.
Most rods have pretty inaccurate casting recommendations. It’s propably not your casting technique, it’s most likely the rod itself. You can tell that it’s the rod itself that’s the problem if it doesn’t properly load the lure when you cast it.

@@jimmcculloch5825 baitcasting is all about feeling for the release point. Try to slow down your cast because its easier to feel the rod load up and figure out your release point

I spoke with a guy from their company I sent them pictures of the part that fell out the guy says I sent your email to the claims department but nobody replied so I just glued the part. Me and my friend got it at the same time his is perfect, mine sometimes works sometimes it doesn't
Bates tripping for pricing their reels so high, too much competition! They gonna f themselves up!
Not saying Bates are not quality reels, but you have to establish yourself for a few years before trying to bring out reels that challenge the Japanese at the higher price points. Especially here in America where people consider $200 is an expensive reel

Iirc, most Gloomis 832c (particularly in NRX MBR lineup) is allegedly so soft for medium that Matt Allen from TacticalBassin claimed he couldn't even set a weightless senko EWG. He has it listed on multiple BFS buyer's guide.
its like the 802c or something like that, its 6'8 x fast, lure rating down to 3/16. I think Loomis calls it a medium?
Why do they bring so many models to market?
Seriously, if you're not blogging and just fishing, two reels are usually enough for one rod, one of which will be super convenient, and the second will eventually move to your backpack and become a spare.
It seems to me that the market is overloaded.
I'm one of those who bought into the hype. I love it as a collector and being able to experience high-end equipment, but I usually have 2 combos that are my go to rod and reels. The kicker is, they are both from ali express! They are just so fun to use, but the higher end combos are definitely for serious fishing.

How “bates” work. U know what bfs is new to Americans. Let’s just source a bfs from china for 100$ and rebadge and resell for 345$. And tell them it’s made is USA. They will buy. Long behold some people buying haha
Yes Bates reels are designed and manufactured in China but these are not cheaply made reels. I have a Chinese variant of the round reel they sell and its quality is top notch.
