Never thought of something causing my scoliosis before. I fell a 100 feet diwn cliffs when I was 16. Had issues all through my teenage tears abd into 20s with sciatica and issues with left leg. 11 years ago diagnosed with 4 prolapsed discs,3 broad based. Thinning of all discs and diagnosed 4 years a go with Degenerative Scoliosis. Chances are my cliff fall has caused if not contributed to all my issues. Thank you
@@flowerchild3312 yes, I was in physical therapy from January til the beginning of March, then one of the exercises hurt my spine. Now I'm waiting to get an MRI before I can return back to PT. Unfortunately with other health problems and severe anxiety, I have to do the MRI sedated and there's a long waiting list. My back is in so much pain everyday, no meds just a heating pad. No quality of life living like this. But I will say, PT was helping some, especially gaining muscle mass back, so if you can do it, it's beneficial to your overall health and strengthening your back and leg muscles.
@@annemariethomson6265 do you take vitamins D3 with K2? Very helpful for bone strength. I take a liquid liposmal D3/K2, I was very low in the 20's. Best to get the vitamin D levels checked and physical therapy.

This is a wonderful video. I am 67 and have severe degenerative scoliosis that was diagnosed in me as an adult. My Cobb angle is 53%. I need some guidance as to how to seek treatment. I tried a chiropractor and that did help but he ended up fracturing 2 of my ribs during his treatment. I am concerned about how this disease is going to progress as I age but do not know where to turn to here in Los Angeles. The surgeon who diagnosed my condition has only told me to contact her when I need the surgery. I have had limited success with acupuncture. Can you offer me advice as to a treatment path that I can follow? Bill
