I find myself saying this constantly while playing the game; there are so many NPC's and lines of dialogue that clearly were intended to be part of a quest, but never made it into the game due to the production being rushed in order to meet the 11/11/11 release date.
Right you are, but I would also believe that their main reason had more to do with money and time restraints, like most Studios. It's too bad, because I just learned about Star Citizen and how screwed up the developer is for that game kept getting more and more donations from the community and claimed to have a deadline but kept that deadline moving forward, and then eventually she decided to pretty much give up on finishing the game. Then he decided to use the vast majority of the funds that he was given in order to create the game enter purchasing several mansions for himself and Yachts and all kinds of goodies. 320 million dollars wasted by all the people who donated throughout the past decade for a game that will never be released all because of a greedy developer decided to give up ah never finishing the game. I didn't find out about this news when it broke out, I just found out a few days ago. And at this point I honestly don't blame people for pulling out their support and demanding their money back. That developer should be sued into the stone age's. And it's a real shame too, because the game had real promise and it looked amazing. I guess the developer just figured they could get away with it forever.
I've been playing Skyrim for years, but have recently started heavily modding it. Love your videos they have really help me make Skyrim how it should have been keep up the awesome works.
I don't know about being able to marry Serana. I think she says at some point how she's uneasy with Chapels. Even if you cured her Vampirism by siding with the Dawnguard, she probably wouldn't want to step inside one. I'd have her simply acknowledge your feelings and reciprocate them provided you picked the right dialog options during the main quest. Then if you sleep while you have her as a Follower, you'll get the Lover's Comfort resting bonus. But none of the other benefits from marriage. I just can't see Serana staying at home cooking and running a store for you.
@@jonathanprince707 As far as I can tell, one don't need to be in a Chapel (or any religious building for that matter) to get married. IRL anyway. Can only assume that the same can be said to Skyrim & The Elder Scrolls franchise in general.
@@abd-qadirgilani8871 pretty sure in terms of lore, you marry in mara temple to get some kind of blessing for your marriage and if you dont mara is like yeah fuck those two
@@andrejzizenstock9067 Mara doesn't sound like the type to snub a pair of lovers just because they didn't get hitched in her Temple. All I'm saying is Serana just wouldn't be comfortable walking into a Chapel. If I could write a mod to marry Serana, it would just be some extra dialog at the end if you approach her while wearing the Amulet of Mara. You can ask her to marry, she would say yes, but she doesn't like churches and Molag Bal doesn't really go for the whole matrimony thing. But she does admit she feels the same for you, and the both of you just decide to skip the ceremony. For all intents and purposes, you're married. And you don't need the Mara or a Daedra Lord to tell you otherwise. Hell you could even say Mara is so moved by your love, she gives you the Lover's Comfort resting bonus anyway.

Nate can you please keep making these mod related skyrim videos? I love your unique style of showcasing HELPFUL and USEFUL mods with your traditional and humorous video style. It works great and I am really enjoying!!!
Personally I enjoyed the Dlc because it dug more into the history of the Falmer. I found them to be very interesting because they used to be Snow Elves. They're found to be able to make their own settlements, develop their own weapons and armor, and became masters of poison.
Dawnguard is my favourite DLC of any video game ever. BUT, I swear to god everytime the vampires attack whiterun it's when I'm over-encumbered after a long trip of adventuring. I get a front row seat as they murder Adriana to death while I slowly walk over to help. Hate that about the DLC, wish they would just attack the front gate instead.
For any wondering, the creator of Sacrosanct has a new Vampire mod that is a little less bloated/complex called Sacrilege and they are still updating it. They also have a Werewolf mod called Growl that makes being a werewolf more complex as well.
Y'know despite your lore videos being a bit of a meme among friends, you have probably the best mod videos I've seen for a mod-light playthrough (which I love!)
I recently got into mods because of your videos and it’s like a whole new game! I especially love cutting room floor- it’s so awesome to be able to put together the pieces of the puzzles the game creators never finished. Can’t wait to try these out!
Hey Nate its Gaige, I just wanted to let you know that your videos bring me stress relief from my day and it just helps me a lot. Keep it up man, we all love you!!!!!! To the Throat of the World and back!!!
I prefer the better vampires mod since you can turn off people attacking you if you go too long without feeding and you can turn anyone you bite into a vampire that will instantly be loyal to you(except for the guards). Also it adds vampire hunting groups that attack at random intervals and are much stronger than just regular Dawnguard troops along with an option to take damage while in the sun and to be able to regenerate health and magic when standing in the shade. You can also make it so that you turn into a pile of ash when you die instead of just rag-dolling like normal.

Todd always told us that the ai was gonna super good and maybe nate is that ai but from what npc? I hope you do a similar mod revolving around the Dragonborn DLC! I love the Skaal and I'm sure there's mods that I'm unaware of that'd make the DLC and main quest alot better than it actually is!
A lovely video filled with overhauls. Next one should other overhauls, like Collage of Winterhold and magic system or Companions and fighting system, you get the idea. Have fun making them as much as I have watching them.
Eddy the monstrum I did a vampire playthrough with the mod and its pretty cool and fun in the beginning but halfway through you get so OP it just doesnt feel fun at all.
Nice to hear someone give Sacrosanct the praise it deserves. I'm a paladin spellsword guy myself, but after just reading the sacrosanct mod page I clearly see that this mod is *HUGE* gamechanger. it now becomes boring to not be a vampire! combine that with (in my opinion) the best story-driven gameplay Skyrim has to offer (Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood) and you can see how Sacrosanct really makes it easy to choose a stealth/assassin or straight up nightblade build. And this is why I don't know what build to choose this time haha
Well it makes sense when you first arrive at Fort Dawnguard. Isran's still trying to just get the Dawnguard project off the ground, and he has to do it basically alone. It's just him, the Orc guy, and some other dude. That's why the Player has to go out and recruit NPCs for him.
@@mariejuana2993 Ah but that's the beauty of the DLC. Think about it. If you didn't, then who did? After defeating Harkon, you eventually get the quest to Destroy the Dawnguard. When you attack the Fort, you find the NPCs you would have normally recruited had you sided with Isran. Even the crazy priest of Arkay who was trapped in a dungeon by some crazy witch is there. If you didn't save him, who did? I'm going to guess without you there Isran had to rely on that farmboy. And that is one of the things I love about Dawnguard. You as the player, aren't needed. Normally you have to do EVERYTHING for these stupid NPCs or nothing ever gets done. Isran was totally able to rebuild the Dawnguard without you. He didn't need you to hold his hand, wipe his nose, fetch him 20 rat spleens, or anything. I'd give him a pat on the head, a plate of chicken tendies, and 10 Good Boy points for just being able to do that all on his own...right before I slice his throat...and take his tendies...because fuck Isran.
@@jonathanprince707 😂😂 Yeah thats true aswell. I agree with you, I like the fact that us as the player arent entirely needed, besides the Dragonborn quests because there is ofc one Dragonborn at a time (?). Other than that, you are perfectly correct, who's to say there isn't another NPC running around helping other NPC's, or thieving for the Guild (as we have seen plenty times in Riften marketplace), or assasinating important people (as we see new recruits in the Dawnstar Sanctuary). I haven't gotten the quest to destroy the Dawnguard yet though :( I didnt follow through properly. I have a habit of collecting as many quests as I can before I start (or finish) any of them xd ;_;
Hey Nate it's guys here, I just wanted to thank you for how much you've helped me improve my game with these mod videos. I only started modding Skyrim about a year ago so having a ton of options presented to me in a quick yet detailed manner really helped me build my load order. Thanks a ton for the help and keep up the great work!
I cant remember but i used to love this older mod that after you completed the vampire side of the story it rebuilt the castle and added another part to the story, something about proving that your worthy to lead the vampires or something, I sadly forgot what the name of the mod was called but I will always remember.
Suggestion for 10 tiny details about Skyrim: On the island of Raven Rock is a Nord NPC named Glover Mallory, who is the brother of Delvin Mallory in The Thieves Guild. If the player is a member of the Thieves Guild, Glover will give you a quest to recover a recipe for improved bonemold armor. Once you complete the quest, Glover will reward you with a key for a room in his house filled with rewards such as gems, gold and lockpicks. One of the rewards is a unique set and of armor called Blackguard (pronounced blaggard) armor. What’s your interesting about this is that the Blackguards are a mercenary group in Black Marsh, which act the main enemy faction in The Elder Scrolls Online: Murkmire DLC. Considering that Glover was once a member of a seedy group like the Thieves Guild, and he that he also mentions that he ran far away to other places in Tamriel before settling in Solstheim, it’s entirely possible that he was once a member of the Blackguards, himself.
It really is great. I ended up wearing the DG armour most of the time in my game because I felt a stronger connection to that faction than any other. Also it looked sweet.
Hey how's it going Nate ? It's a viewer here ! I can't remember when I discovered your videos, but thanks to you I'm exploring Skyrim to find the easter eggs, the references, the items and all the stuff you talk about, as I write this comment, I'm installing some mods to further enchance my Dawnguard experience. Thanks you a million times for your videos.
Fun Fact: In the Creation Kit, anything and everything related to Dawnguard has the prefix DLC1 (or DLC01) on its editor id and Dragonborn has DLC2 (or DLC02). But Hearthfire was the second DLC, not Dragonborn. Well, Hearthfire has the prefix BYOH (presumably Build Your Own Home), indicating it was never regarded as a proper DLC by Bethesda, but it was still sold as one.
I have a question. I just beat alduin and went to solstheim for the first time and completed the first couple quests, I went to go use the earth shout on the people of the village and freed them. Then a lurker killed a few people, but what I didn't know was that the lurker killed the logging man who give you the quest to forge shalrim, I didn't have any saves so I basically couldn't forge the best ore so I started my game over, was that the right choice, to restart all my hard work?
12:07 - This is one of my biggest pet peeves. The word is etcetera. ETcetera, not EXcetera. Also, the Bells mod makes the Dawnguard Sentries run and hide when the bells sound.

I do like Dawngaurd Sentries as the elegant solution to the vampires always killing the quest giver npcs.
I'll come with you, RJL.
I've been playing Skyrim for years, but have recently started heavily modding it. Love your videos they have really help me make Skyrim how it should have been keep up the awesome works.
Thanks MOD community giving vision to these games that developers either don't have the time resources or care to do
@Mad Max Rockatansky or just time constraints
okenoK no they lazy or we’d have es6 by now and fallout 76 wouldn’t be hot garbage
So you’re telling me that with the Dawnguard arsenal spell “Arkay’s Gaze” I can launch a muhfuggin yellow kamehameha
Marriable Serana and Hybrid.
Done.
I would rather be one of the races than a hybrid. Marriable Serana is good.
I don't know how you make your videos so bingeable but it looks like I might go on another Skyrim Details binge after this, great vid Nate!
Dawnguard should had a stronger connection to “a god” or Adria? (Sorry half asleep right now) Since the vampires basically had the same in reverse.

I've been watching you for years, I just got back into skyrim. I found your channel again and i've been addicted to watching you again, Such is the life of a elder scrolls player.
NATE I just noticed a strange detail only available in one mission. After the battle for whiterun if ur siding with the companions, you can get some unique dialogue from Raloff, he asks if colors seem brighter and stuff before he starts repeating that he feels so alive. Check it out!
This doesn't even make sense
@@Bemix666NUCLAR it fuckin happens tho... check it out. Numb nuts. Eh?
@@Bemix666NUCLAR wait I think I know what you mean. Siding with the companions... I meant already involved in that faction. My bad. Sorry for bein a jackass.
What is he referencing exactly?
Nate can you please keep making these mod related skyrim videos? I love your unique style of showcasing HELPFUL and USEFUL mods with your traditional and humorous video style. It works great and I am really enjoying!!!
Personally I enjoyed the Dlc because it dug more into the history of the Falmer. I found them to be very interesting because they used to be Snow Elves. They're found to be able to make their own settlements, develop their own weapons and armor, and became masters of poison.
Loved your suggestions, I went back and downloaded 3 different mods based upon your suggestions. Thank you greatly!
Lol. Just drop all your shit and help out, nobody's going to touch your stuff without asking you first.
I'm still laughing at this image though.
For any wondering, the creator of Sacrosanct has a new Vampire mod that is a little less bloated/complex called Sacrilege and they are still updating it. They also have a Werewolf mod called Growl that makes being a werewolf more complex as well.
*mmmhh yes. a video I look forward to watching.*
@TheLast Huntsman speak with sorine. She needs help improving the crossbow design she's been working on.

My Serana uses a bow sometimes, on dragons...
Idk where she gets the arrows frow, but she has an odd amount of the arrows that I have in my inventory... maybe shes stealing them from me
@@mariejuana2993 Some follower's have *INFINITE* arrows but the arrow theft thing is funnier

I'd also recommend the Volkihar Vampire Knight armor set. It looks absolutely badass.
I really need to make a personal "Skyrim mods" playlist for your videos, because most of the mods you are showcasing are simply amazing.
Well done my young apprentice
Now, about that Dragonborn/Solsthiem mod list? :P
I must say thanks to your videos i rediscovered skyrim again and now i try to find some of the stuff your talking about

Hey Nate its Gaige, I just wanted to let you know that your videos bring me stress relief from my day and it just helps me a lot. I don't know what it is, but sitting down and watch a video just.. just takes time from my day and makes me realize that I'm human yet and I have problems as we all do, but Nate yes thank you for your videos!!!! Keep it up man, we all love you!!!!!! To the Throat of the World and back!!!
I want to see more mods like this for the entire game and all factions
4:41 Sorry, am just sorry, but I cannot unsee that husky being literally jaw-dropping at all those mods in the background, on the left
The dawnguard aesthetics really makes me wanting a vampire hunter game in a medieval fantasy setting
Here is a theory:
Nate our man is acctually an ai from bethesda that escaped from fallout. How do i know that? Well... Todd always told us that the ai was gonna super good and maybe nate is that ai but from what npc? Well as his name indicates his name is Nate and your husband in Fallout 4 is also named Nate maybe our boi here escaped from Fallout 4 because he is to advanced for the game after escaping without knowking what to do he started doing videos about the only thing he knew about Bethesda
But hey thats just a theory a Game theory
You are the best RUclipsr ever! I've been here since Minecraft, It's been a long journey, from the land of Minecraft all the way to Tamrial. And I'm always ready to kick back relax, and grab some mead, I love the Dawngaurd, but there was soooo much that Bethesda missed

Love the content. Please keep up the good work.
Sacrosanct would definitely want me to play as a vampire. Vanilla's system turns me off.
Z yku can also use “better vampires” I personally like that one better since I feel you can customize your experience more
@@richardespinoza9989 I second what this person said. I used to use sacrosanct before, but better vampires is way more customizable, and I haven't noticed it lacking anything sacrosanct has.

One mod I got on Xbox One is Seranaholic (V1.7) Serana Replacer, she is really beautiful. Her eyes are red like other vampires (they turn blue if you cure her). Works great with the Seraphim body replacer

I would actually like to see a video about sacrosanct.Love your videos by the way very informative about Skyrim, a game that I truly enjoy.
Eddy the monstrum I did a vampire playthrough with the mod and its pretty cool and fun in the beginning but halfway through you get so OP it just doesnt feel fun at all.
"Honestly its amazing to me that something like this wasn't included in the base game.". You know this is Bethesda you're talking about right?
Nice to hear someone give Sacrosanct the praise it deserves. I'm a paladin spellsword guy myself, but after just reading the sacrosanct mod page I clearly see that this mod is *HUGE* gamechanger. it now becomes boring to not be a vampire! combine that with (in my opinion) the best story-driven gameplay Skyrim has to offer (Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood) and you can see how Sacrosanct really makes it easy to choose a stealth/assassin or straight up nightblade build. And this is why I don't know what build to choose this time haha
You keep saying how major the dawnguard are.
Aren’t they, like, three people when you first join them?
Well it makes sense when you first arrive at Fort Dawnguard. Isran's still trying to just get the Dawnguard project off the ground, and he has to do it basically alone. It's just him, the Orc guy, and some other dude. That's why the Player has to go out and recruit NPCs for him.
The dawn guard has a full history of lore too. They aren't a new group they just have to rebuild it.
@@jonathanprince707Yet you dont and some how still get attacked by 3 of them every 2 days
@@jonathanprince707 😂😂 Yeah thats true aswell. I agree with you, I like the fact that us as the player arent entirely needed, besides the Dragonborn quests because there is ofc one Dragonborn at a time (?). Other than that, you are perfectly correct, who's to say there isn't another NPC running around helping other NPC's, or thieving for the Guild (as we have seen plenty times in Riften marketplace), or assasinating important people (as we see new recruits in the Dawnstar Sanctuary).
I haven't gotten the quest to destroy the Dawnguard yet though :( I didnt follow through properly. I have a habit of collecting as many quests as I can before I start (or finish) any of them xd ;_;
Hey Nate it's guys here, I just wanted to thank you for how much you've helped me improve my game with these mod videos. I cant remember but i used to love this older mod that after you completed the vampire side of the story it rebuilt the castle and added another part to the story, something about proving that your worthy to lead the vampires or something, I sadly forgot what the name of the mod was called but I will always remember.

“On the brink of 2020.” If only the poor fool knee what that would come to truly mean.
Long live the "Game of the Year" editions with all DLCs included XD
Suggestion for 10 tiny details about Skyrim:
On the island of Raven Rock is a Nord NPC named Glover Mallory, who is the brother of Delvin Mallory in The Thieves Guild.

Fun Fact: In the Creation Kit, anything and everything related to Dawnguard has the prefix DLC1 (or DLC01) on its editor id and Dragonborn has DLC2 (or DLC02). But Hearthfire was the second DLC, not Dragonborn.
Well, Hearthfire has the prefix BYOH (presumably Build Your Own Home), indicating it was never regarded as a proper DLC by Bethesda, but it was still sold as one.
i just started playing skyrim for the first time, mods like these keep me interested.
