    Thanks for the inspiration! I just had to pull my brassicas since they are bolting. My Sun gold tomatoes are prolific, but something ate all my cucumber starts😢. Time to get some plants from the nursery. Decided to try some cosmos from seed- so far so good🙏🏻

    Greetings from zone 9a Las Vegas. And I saved this video for this morning (early over breakfast) it got me inspired to get my beds in order. Finally we are warm and staying that way🎉. I got all my starts out lettuce, kale and spinach. Sunday I plant herbs and flowers. I got your planner and use many pages to map out and plan.

    There are so many Everglades starts coming up we've been transplanting them to the fence line in the pasture. The birds love them, so maybe they'll leave some for me now

    Alternate video title: "When Everglades and Seminoles Go Wild" Good reminder not to let them get close to conservation land; can you imagine becoming a footnote on Florida listing of new invasive plants?
    I loved how you took the time to help your son "move" the dirt pile even though you had a mountain of work ahead of you. The look of adoration on his face while he chatted away spoke volumes. This is a great gardening video, but also a fantastic testament to healthy family interaction in the garden.

    For someone who works on ships and deals with rust all the time, at the first sign of rust paint the metal again. It just hinders the oxidation process. It is definitely worth it to slap some paint on the rust spots that somewhat matches.

    • @Chocamatoes
      @Chocamatoes Год назад +2

      The chemicals on the paint are bad for plants. They absorb it and you consume them. maybe that’s why she didn’t paint it.

    • @mwnemo
      @mwnemo Год назад

      @@Chocamatoes the metal is already painted. The company just puts very light coats to be cheap. You just have to choose a nontoxic type of paint .

    • @WildFloridian
      @WildFloridian  Год назад +1

      Yeah, that was what we did in the factory too. But that one bed started corroding in under 6 months. Barely time to react. At this point the layer split is so egregious painting won't stop the structural issues that are already there. And I'm sure you know, you can still get continued degradation after painting. It just slows some damage.

    • @mwnemo
      @mwnemo Год назад

      Yup! The only way to slow the rust issue would be to remove most of the rust which is hard to do with thin metal like that. One of those live and learn moments. Buy the Vega bed to replace it :D
