I'm a big fan of the old metro units, frankly the way the horn sounds, because the new ones just start like it came out of nowhere, but the old ones have a better sounding in my opinion.
0:55 I find it odd that it's horn is actually an electronic version of a steam engine whsitle! quite a few of these trains have an older car and the newer car!
MrBnsftrain some cars are Siemens S70, while other trains are CAF LRVs. You can tell these trains apart by their shape. For example, a set of Siemens S70 trains have a flat end cabs and the other set have a rounded end cabs. The newer CAF trains have a bigger, boxier end cabs.
A friend who is a train operator stated that that the horn is tuned to sound like a Nathan K5LA, the horn used on many Amtrak locomotives. It's not a bad approximation.
1:57 and 4:21 love that H1 sound it was my childhood 106 made my dreams come true on the day before my birthday

Which one has the dog bark horn?
The S70 H1 has no synchronous PWM or asynchronous rise before staying at 1.2kHz constant, but these were later implemented by S70 H2 and S700 H4.
I'm a train and I approve this video choo choo!!!
Thanks! 😊

That’s a brand new light rail.
Chugga chugga woo woo goes the train horn
Ive seen these trains before in Houston
Will there be more METRORail/MCI D4500 vehicles coming soon
It all depends if I have free time.
Has the older cars been retired already of this year, or are they still being used?
They're still in service.
I think those trains would use posters to advertise Hollywood movies, independent movies, TV Shows, and Alamo Drafthouse.
They’d have to probably pay Metro or be affiliated with them for it to happen
