I learned this song from the Pogues version, "I'm a man you don't meet every day" has been a line I use because of the Pogues version for the last fifteen years, but this is my favorite performance of it now that I've found it.

I was listening to this song long before the pogues were thought of . Then it was a song of an Irish navvie and the words were very different .
