- Pardon the audio. My buddy Craig and I went up on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina (Mount Pisgah area) to set up a 20 meter dipole and made a few contacts. I kind of nudged Craig to get licensed-up with me a couple of years ago. We go way back in the photography world. Craig's homebrew antenna worked amazingly well.
This isn't an instructional video. It is two friends "nerding out" and having fun on the airwaves. 73

heard one of my friends on this video. Sent him an email to tell him about this video. How cool is that!
Very cool, indeed!
I had a great time, Duncan. It's always a net positive to spend time at altitude in the fresh air and sunshine playing a little radio. Thanks for the invite!
We need to do this every weekend.
Looks like a lot of fun. KO4HPC 73
It is always nice to be able to get on the radio. Operating outdoors is very fun.
Nice setup. Thanks for sharing. Barry, KU3X
Thanks!
Very jealous of that location!! Use to live much farther north, just off the BRP close to Lexington VA. Best 3 years of my life, especially as a motorcycle guy. Sure wish I had taken more interest in amateur radio back then though because that would have been fun to do exactly what you're doing in this video!
Indeed. I is nice to have the parkway so close. I don't get out as much as I would like, but it is nice when I do. Thanks.
