I think cos they play with reverb, syncopation, other effects on the drums. Many other artists stick with quite conventional drum beats. There's lots of detail in the percussions, Pearson sound/ Ramadanman is the same. Probably comes from Jungle/ dnb and Garage in the UK scene.
joy orbison has made a couple of dubstep influenced tracks at the start of his career. for the vast majority of the time he has been DJing techno. boddika has never made a straight dubstep track, ever
link me one pure dubstep track by instra mental. go on, one. besides, that's not even what i meant. i meant as a solo producer, boddika has not made a single dubstep track. the guy said that boddika was a dubstep producer, which is objectively wrong
@1:41 I SWEAR that's a crazy frog sample right there. the build-up before the drop
ahahahahahha that's true

They have such a cool sound, I really like how terrifying the ambience gets
these uk dudes specifically joy o and bodikka manage to attain this one specific sound I can't put it into words but its very metallic or hollow
I’ve taken to calling it UK Clatter

better of the two. the vocal yoke makes it veryy effective. amazing little track
