I am helping my daughter out right now, so she and my grandson stay with me, but I know it's now time for me to move into my own home and let her be a mom to him. I literally just broke down in heavy tears when this video came across my feed. Something happened this past weekend that awoke past traumas once again. I've never felt like I had a HOME. Every place I've ever laid my head was always a place with four walls to keep me shelter but it lacked the security and warmth of HOME. I was raised in a very chaotic, toxic, dysfunctional household and I constantly lived with the threat. I feel like, as an adult, I'm spending my adulthood breaking the traumatic bonds of my childhood. It feels like a full-time job at times. Sometimes, it just feels like I'll spend the rest of my life tending to my inner child and wiping away her tears and trying to comfort her. I've prayed heavily to God about this very matter. I've felt some guilt that I sometimes didn’t believe in what God could do in my life. I'm choosing to take this video as a sign of God responding to me and telling me: 'Everything will be ok.' Thank you for sharing this.
