All you have to do , is to remove the speed needle(usualy with a fork), to put the contact, to take the contact(and all the devices will recalibrate) . Then, very smoothly insert back the needle in zero position, BUT, WITHOUT MOVING THE NEEDLE. So: remove speed needle> turn on the contact>take the contact> put back the needle without moving up or down. Sorry about my poor english :)
I was having the same prob after my alternator died. The prob is definitively the instrument cluster. Not sure what cause it to go wrong,probably it is very sensitive to voltage spike (like connecting battery or put on a fuse or maybe the gear inside the motor is wear). For a quick fix, solder an 100 Ohm resistor in series with a button between two diagonal terminals of speedometer motor. Then when you put the contact you have to press the button for just 1/2 seconds in order to stop that wiggle. I have replaced the dash with an old one and worked for about a month, then I bought another one which still work (1 year already, also I've changed the battery). In conclusion: the instrument cluster seems to fail at some time, if you buy another one, be sure it is not also faulty. Why is needle wiggle? search after stepper motor SSD detection and zero positioning.

I am having the same problem too but with the rpm needle twitching instead. I have no rpm or speed readings when driving. Replacing the whole pannel will solve the problem?

Well that's what i thought and when i got to the place i told the guy i will try some panels and if any of them worked i will buy one guess what its not the panel man i don't know i feel its a sensor somewhere under the hood
Maybe the potentiometers inside the motors dont do good contact. Try spraying some contact cleaner inside the stepper motors from the whole they have in the side.

После этого моторчики примут правильное положение и можете вставлять стрелки на нули. И о чудо, после того как вставили и заведете, будут правильные показания тахометра и спидометра, я до этого догадался сам, и промучался так норм, у вас все получится за 15 минут.
P. S. Это если моторчики исправны, если в каком то шестерня лопнула(болячка этих спидометров) то тогда приборку менять или моторчик, если приклеите, скорей всего вскоре все равно перестанет работать(

Same when i start the car the rpm needle starts shaking a bit but its always on 0, still didnt try fixing it tho
