For future reference. Put the crab in the freezer for a few hours to kill it humanely. Also will taste alot better , due to fact it's not as stressed . Similar to fish that you would like to consume. Kill it humanely and quickly so rigor mortis does not set in. Thanks

The infrastructure upstream is horrible so several other towns sewerage and industrial waste flows into the river totally untreated. An animal like a crab that lives a pretty sedentary life in one part of the river would be so full of heavy metals and carcinogens its not funny.
