    It peels off for me when I apply dermaflage over concealer. But I really love this product and it makes me sad how people rate this product poorly. It’s the best product out there for covering indented scars. I hope they continue to stay in business because stage silicone makeup is just not as easy to blend in

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  5 лет назад +5

      Have you tried it with the a
      Primer over your concealer? Because if I don't use their primer liquid, it will lift for me, too. Maybe try that....and I agree with you in everything you said. It takes practice and I think that is why people think it doesn't work. Takes patience ... but it IS fantastic! Thanks for your comment. I hope people read this. I am going to pin it 💖

    • @Ladeliciadelinda
      @Ladeliciadelinda 5 лет назад

      Now on Beauty yeah I bought the primer and used it. But I just realized you said the primer should be over the concealer. I’ll try again and see if it works. I noticed the one I bought smells like rubbing alcohol. I’ve heard somewhere that the primer formula was changed a few years ago. Not sure if that changes anything

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  5 лет назад +1

      @@Ladeliciadelinda Yes mine smells like rubbing alcohol too. In fact, I did a test WITH rubbing alcohol to see if, in fact, it IS just rubbing alcohol. But no, it didn't work. Yes, you MUST put it over your concealer and it will work. You should still be good using the primer you have.

    • @Ladeliciadelinda
      @Ladeliciadelinda 5 лет назад

      Now on Beauty thanks for your insights! So you think rubbing alcohol would work as well? I threw out the primer but it’s pretty expensive to repurchase if it’s just rubbing alcohol. I guess the idea is that the primer dries the liquid foundation enough to help the silicone adhere to it?

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  5 лет назад +1

      @@Ladeliciadelinda Oh you're welcome! No...the rubbing alcohol did not work, but yes, the principle of the primer is to dry the oils and help the silicone adhere, just as you said. It IS expensive to purchase and that's why I tried the rubbing alcohol (over makeup), for those who did not want to purchase the primer, but the rubbing alcohol did not work so there is something else in their primer.

      One thing...I don't know if your kit contained a small bag of mixing tips (looks like a tip with a spiral inside). If you did, don't use those. They dispense too much product. If you are using the Dermaflage how I do, then yes...don't use too much. Make sure you just put it inside the pit of the scar, not around it, too. It does take practice so keep trying. And Ron... I haven't looked at the reviews on Amazon but I can say with all honestly from my point of view, this takes a bit of finessing but it DOES work. I do not work for Dermaflage, but I would never say something is fantastic if it wasn't. I struggled daily with this issue for YEARS, and it is the only product that truly masks the ice pick scars I have. I think most people who have bought it from Amazon have probably never watched a tutorial or done their research on how to apply it correctly. Trust me, too, that I don't have money to be throwing around on stuff. I did my research and tested, tested, TESTED it. It's the bomb. It's exactly what they use in special effects makeup in movies. So this is a pro special FX grade silicone. But once you play with it a bit, I think you'll be impressed. Just my opinion. If you buy from Amazon, make sure you read the seller's return policy. I wouldn't buy it from anywhere other than their site though, just to be sure you're not buying some knock-off, you know? Let me know if you need anything else 👍🤗

    I have ice pick scars on both my cheeks mainly all over so can I use my fingertips to spread and blend it before I use the texture pad ?
    The only thing I haven't bought is the primer.
    You said it takes a lot of practice does that mean my silicone syringe will get used up on practicing the technique?
    Through no fault of my own I can be heavy handed due to Cerebral Palsy so I'm worried about over using and am not particularly quick with my hands.

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  4 года назад +2

      Hi! This starts to dry and set up pretty quick so you want to treat one area at a time. Cut your texture pad if you want to treat more than one area at a time but if you have a loss of control as you stated, it's best to treat one area at a time. You don't really want to use your fingertips to apply it, it's goopy (about the same consistency as rubber cement). And I would say no on your question about using an entire syringe on practicing. It took me 3 tries (of course, this varies) and I had plenty of product left. The syringe MAY BE a bit tricky with an unsteady hand, as far as dispensing NOT too much product. I wish I was there to help you one on one 🥺❤

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  5 лет назад +3

      In theory, yes... but you need to place the product ONLY in those pores that really bother you. Please tell me the right way to do this so it will not show and also please suggest me what shade should i bought with my heavy bridal makeup . I have a light skin tone so i should buy the colour same as my skin or a bit lighter to match with my makeup ?

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  4 года назад +1

      The best thing to do is bring your Dermaflage to your makeup application. Don't put it on before. Talk to your makeup artist before your appointment if you can, and tell her about the product. She may be familiar with it! It will be difficult to cover pores. You will have to do them one by one and if they aren't HUGE, it may not work. This product is REALLY for acne scars (icepick and pock marked skin). I have never tried to cover pores with it. But, your makeup artist may have a pore filling primer she can use and you won't need the Dermaflage. But, if you insist on trying it, I would get the closest match to your skin or your neck, if your neck is darker and you need to match your foundation to your neck. I really hope this helps you...but it really isn't made for pores, even though you may FEEL like your pores are huge! Everyone has pores and remember this... the person you are marrying knows you have them and loves you just like you are. I know you are worried about looking beautiful on your wedding day but pores will not make you look ugly. I promise! I know Tarte has a great pore filler called "Clean Slate." Ask your makeup artist if she knows any tricks for enlarged pores. I'm sure they deal with that all the time on clients. Only other advice I can give you is go matte with lots of powder on your troubled areas because that will blur them more. Lighting for your photos is important, too. No overhead lighting shining down from only above, but your photographer will know this, too. Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding 💖🥂🍾🌹

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  4 года назад +1

      Also one more tip... BUY THE DERMAFLAGE PRIMER, TOO! It is ESSENTIAL over foundation. You are going to have to put the primer and then the Dermaflage OVER your foundation, but only into the pores that REALLY bother you. If I were you, I'd try to match your actual skin tone in Dermaflage because you can only stamp the foundation VERY LIGHTLY over the Dermaflage once it's on. Hope this helps...

      Hey! You get one syringe of your color choice, the silicone pad, a bag of tools to mix the product, and a bag of mixing tips for the applicator, which I DO NOT recommend using these mixing tips because you will waste too much of the product, hence why I squeeze the product out directly from the syringe, and mix myself.

      Oh my poor thing... I am so sorry that you were left with such scars.
      Being that you mention this event happened recently, the No. 1 scar treatment is Mederma Advanced Scar gel. Look it up on Amazon or maybe a local pharmacy has some. Start treating the area with this. I was unable to do so because my scars happened 35 years ago! This product didn't exist for me. In the meantime, I am going to copy a link to another RUclips video from Dermaflage with a girl who may have a scar similar to some of yours, but in a different area, but the same principle applies. @NowonBeauty  5 лет назад +1

      Yes you can! The process is a bit long to explain here but if you watch the video, towards the end, I explain how I do it. It's not your normal way of applying though. Depending on where your scar is, you will either work around the area or just stamp or stipple your foundation back over it to blend, but without adding more foundation...for example if you use a brush to apply your foundation, you will very lightly stipple over the area after you've applied the Dermaflage with whatever residue is left on your foundation brush. Make sense? Just watch the video because I actually DO show it even though I continue answering questions after I remove the silicone sponge. Let me know if you need help 💝

    Would you recommend using this on a scar that's about 5 to 6 inches long and half an inch wide on the face?

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  27 дней назад

      @@DianaLoya-t7c I would recommend it for any scar, as long as the scar is indented and not a scar that is lifted up from the surface of the rest of the face. Think of Dermaflage as a filler to raise up the bottom of the scar to be on a level plane with the rest of the skin. You may end up using quite a bit of product to fill a scar of that size.

    I have a question. I have a surgical scar on my knee. Because I was younge and it was on my knee, the skin stretched and it looks really bad. It has a little keloid but I can get rid of it with treatment but do you think it can help me with the colour and the texture of the scar? I know that it works best on indented scars bit...

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  3 года назад +1

      It can help with the texture, and a bit with the color if it's not too red. If your scar is raised, have you ever tried a waterproof concealer on it? It may cut down on the discoloration. In fact, before you buy anything (if you're not in a hurry) let me test both on a keloid scar that I have on my arm! (You just gave me a great idea for a video!) ❤❤ I will test both and see! I have their concealer, too.

    Can I use primer and moisturizer before dermaflage

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  3 года назад +2

      You can! But...the Dermaflage Primer (the little bottle I show in the video) will essentially remove your face primer and moisturizer from the area you will be putting the Dermaflage. If you plan on NOT using the Dermaflage liquid Primer, then no, you need to avoid putting face primer and moisturizer on your scars. Silicone will not adhere correctly to moisturized skin or oily surfaces.

    So if I have oily skin I should apply the primer before the foundation?

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  4 года назад

      Hi! You will apply all your makeup normally. Then, you will need to apply the Dermaflage Primer liquid over your makeup/foundation. Then apply the Dermaflage. Then, lightly tap over the area with whatever makeup/foundation that is now missing (this all depends on where your scars are). I hope this makes sense? Like for me, my scars are in an area where when I use the Primer liquid, it takes OFF my makeup in that area (which is what the Primer is supposed to do). So after I apply the Dermaflage in JUST THOSE SCARS, I can see that I am now missing makeup just where the patch is. So I just lightly tap over that area with makeup to blend it. Hope this helps! Let me know ❤🤗

      ¡HOLA! Oh sí, puedes usar los palitos de mezcla y todas las herramientas de nuevo. Solo espere hasta que el producto se "seque", luego sáquelo como si se despegara el producto de su cara. Saldrá fácilmente. Si está hablando de las puntas de mezcla (la bolsa de puntas que tiene una espiral en el interior), NO se pueden reutilizar. Es por eso que elijo usar la espátula de mezcla o incluso un palillo para mezclar y aplicar en mis cicatrices. Espero haber respondido a tu pregunta, mi amigo!

    Dear i have few question

    How long the tube lasts
    And will it eork for forehead wrinkles?

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  4 года назад

      The Dermaflage Primer is, in my opinion, ESSENTIAL! This is a primer specifically to be used with silicone. It's not a makeup primer. Yes, it will work for forehead wrinkles! 👍 However, it is hard for me to say how long one tube will last. Depends on how much you need to practice first, how deep your wrinkles are, etc. It DOES take time to learn how much to use. You need less product than you think, though! Always remember that! That will save a lot of product going to waste. Hope this helps!

    • @NowonBeauty
      @NowonBeauty  4 года назад

      PS... If they send you those mixing tips (a tip you apply to the end of the syringe and they have a spiral inside), DO NOT USE THOSE! You will waste a lot of product. Just dispense a small amount directly from the syringe onto a mixing surface and mix with a toothpick or the spatula that may be provided in your box.

      @@funnyworld5606 Well, in my opinion it is worth the price because there isn't an alternative product available. If you plan on using this every day for forehead wrinkles, it will begin to become expensive. If you plan on only using this product for "special occasions" then get it. I do not wear Dermaflage everyday nor in any of my videos except those videos that I do about Dermaflage. If you really want to know if it works? ABSOLUTELY!I myself, however, have never tried it on forehead wrinkles. There are videos on RUclips about using it for wrinkles.
