Technical rescue requires the misfits in our business, the firefighters and officers that think outside The Box", the ones that are willing to leave the kitchen table and try some odd-ball way of doing something. The ones that are willing to throw out the book, or rewrite the book. You remind me of my Lieutenant from my rookie and firefighter days, he would take us out to try crazy evolutions and practice odd skills. We broke a few things and pissed off the chief. But he was the best officer I ever had from Day One untill I became the officer. Keep up with the inovative ideas and methods.
Ok sure, I’m all for thinking out side the box but what is the wall made out of? CMU? Or GWB over steel stud framing? Looks like GWB over studs. As to the vert jamb pole…can you remove the clg tile and see if there is a concrete deck above? If so then that would be your safest bet.
