I made these cookies and they are so delicious!!!! The middle of the cookies is soft and yummy!!! Easy to make !!!! Thanks you. These cookies will be part of Of my cookie variety every year 11
I love them with NUTMEG!! but I'm going to make several batches - some with nutmeg and some with orange/lemon combo! : ) I agree cooking is better with Ol' Blue Eyes!!
@@joanns.6380 I'm so sorry - I'm just now seeing this. I add the nutmeg in with the flour, but when I do nutmeg I don't add lemon nor orange - I suppose you could though. A little nutmeg goes a long way, I guess about 1/4 - 1/2 of a teaspoon - I don't really measure it, I just sprinkle it in - I LOVE nutmeg. I just use McCormack's nutmeg - I don't grate whole ones. : )
It looked like there was a hair baked in to that cookie that he ate. Watch his right hand when he breaks the cookie in half. Other than that, I love ricotta cookies.
This recipe literally lives up to the name of your channel "Cooking Italian with Joe". My question is... How do we get your hair for the cookie recipe? 😁
I have not tried your version yet. I made some yesterday based on an Italian chef's recipe and they turned out looking beautiful. I also came up with a limoncello glaze that added to the flavor but my only question is...the texture. They are more like a petit four than a cookie. Is that what they are supposed to be like? Thank you!
Joe, ya gotta stop saying world's best this, world's best that. Did you ever do a taste test on other recipes beyond the East Coast, like in all of Italy, or Sicily? When you've tasted 500 other cookie recipes, then tag yours "world's best" if it truly is. Love your recipe though. It's good enough for me. THUMBS UP!!!
Has anyone tried this recipe. Joe, I followed your recipe exactly. Got the pastry flower, range free eggs, etc. Cookies didn't have a lot of flavor. What am I doing wrong?????
I'm sorry. These are awful I've made these before and thought id try this recipe. Idk way too much flour I think. Had to scrap the whole batch. Sucks. Going back to the old recipe 2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 2/3 cup sugar sugar 1 1/2 cups ricotta. 1 tbs lemon zest 1 tbs lemon juice 1Tbs vanilla.
Thank you! Thank you!

I'm sure they're delicious as is but will holding back some sugar change the end texture & what about the frosting?

I can't find the recipe Please help!
Me neither
When you say pastry flour, is that the same as cake flour? Or can you sift regular APF to get the same thing?
Yes
Is that a yes for both questions? Idk
@@adriankalitka3762 yes to both.
@@Cookingitalianwithjoe Thank you. I just came home from the store and bought all the ingredients. I hope they come out like yours. 😂
I used All Purpose Flour and came greeeatt!!! Also used 3 Tablespoons of lemon juice, and 1 lemon 🍋 zest in the dough.
Hey, I am new to this sight. Can someone tell me where the printable recipes are?
I can never find it either. I never find the printed version. I write it down when he is saying it which is a total pain!
Can u freeze them? Can u mail them?
